We are glad we found this hidden gem. The food was delicious. I had fried catfish; it was Friday. My wife had smoked chicken. We had peach cobbler for desert. We’ll be back when we are in town.

Without a doubt the worse bbq I've ever had. The brisket was mostly fat that wasn't rendered and the pulled pork was just a pile of mush that had a weird taste to it. Not smoke flavor like a nice hickory or pecan wood would give, but like a fake slim jim flavor. I thought maybe the sides could at least be decent, how do you mess up a potato salad or coleslaw right? Watery mess that tastes like it had been in the fridge for a couple of weeks. Just terrible food all around.

Best food and service from an amazing family-owned business. Even the picky eaters in our family loved the food. Lloyd and Loretta are the most gracious owners who were so warm and kind. We’ll eat here every time we come to town.

Our waitress was awesome! Sides were good, but ribs were undercooked and sauce was quite runny. Must have caught them on a bad night.

Great food and extremely friendly service. The gumbo and BBQ was delicious. Even had to get quart of gumbo to go. The peach cobbler was the perfect dessert to finish up the meal.

I've known Lloyd and Loretta for years and followed their restaurants from Arco to both locations in Idaho Falls. They introduced me to real, authentic, southern hospitality (thank you Loretta), food, delicious BBQ, family, ribs, brisket, two kinds of coleslaw. They reintroduced me to beans and corn bread!! The way it all should be done, Lloyd doesn't know this, but he is responsible for me becoming a great BBQ cook myself by totally inspiring me with his recipes... and I wish I could say what their friendship means on here (thank you Nick and Tish), but for the purposes of this review, you're not just getting a meal, you're getting a families love and life work when you come here. Enjoy!!

We were visiting Idaho falls and looking for a local restaurant when we stumbled upon this gem. Upon entering we were greeted by the owners. They were warm and welcoming, treating us like long lost friends. We ordered the 3 meat plate and split it. More than enough for 2. Everything was great. And they even gave us a free slice of homemade pie. Yummy. One question. Where was everyone? It is good food fairly priced with a friendly staff. Business was slow. If we lived here we would be regulars. Go to grandpa's. It was great.

This place is amazing!! This is the first time I stopped by, but not the last. After taking my four year old thing to visit my folks I wanted to check out nearby places in town and this place was the perfect pick!! As soon as I walked in I smelt delight, sweetness, and most importantly nostalgia, of the young woman I once was, running and playing on the swings in my childhood home while my mother made dinner and my father worked the yard but as soon as I felt comfortable my daughter made it known she "needed" to eat, the little thing had ate five times already but I had to tell her yes just to give myself an excuse to feast!! The workers no the dedicated bringers of joy asked me what I wished to eat at this point I was on the edge of ordering everything but I couldn't let myself! I got pork ribs, beans and rice, beef sandwich , and a sweet potato pie!! the saliva almost flooded out my mouth onto the table. If only I could meet this "grandpa" I wish I had a grandfather... I left on my way feeling amazing and well fed.
