I asked for my beef steak medium well. And they literally over cooked the meat. So much that I dont think I was served beef but pork. Disgusting.

Amazing service. Amazing food. Amazing vibes. This is the best place I’ve eaten at in Idaho falls, some places have decent food or decent service but the staff seem to love their job and the cooks are serious because it was AMAZING!!!!!

The pancakes & ham steaks are both the size of hubcaps...and super tasty(5*)!! Burgers are great(we had a patty melt-it was perfect, 5*), pot roast was ok(not a favorite-but not bad-kids just prefer mine 3.5*), MonteCristo was great(first time kids tried it-wish they gave us raspberry/strawberry jam-but likely available if you eat in 4.5*), patty sausage is fresh & amazing(does not taste like grocery sausage-its either farm fresh or made in house 5*), bacon is thick cut & amazing(5*)!, eggs were good, tasted farm fresh(scrambled stirred more than we would like(small curd) 3*, but fried were perfection 5*), Broccoli cheese soup was amongst the best weve ever had(5*), Reuben was great-good saurkraut used, fried mushrooms & green beans were amazing(5*)!! Zucchini was good(3*)-but a bit soggy(could have been this time-willing to try again), chicken fried steak was unique-but likely wouldnt order again(3*), biscuits & gravy were good with homemade biscuits, wish the gravy was a smidge thicker-just preference(4.5*)!!! Hamburger steak was eh, good, just a bit over cooked(we ordered med, it was well & a bit dry & we did not get the fried onions on top to compensate, but that happens-especially with a large order), 3.5*, and finally the hashbrowns were good-although a bit inconsistent, we got half golden crispy perfection & half dark brown crispy(bit of a burnt taste)-but again, likely due to the size of our order(5* & 3.75*)
My ONLY complaint, we ordered & paid extra to add hashbrowns to our pancake orders(3 of them), but didnt get them-&didnt know until we got home. Again, big order, not typical, that would not prevent me from going back!!
The kids have asked if we can order from Mitchell's at least once a month...that's a firm YES!! So glad we found this local gem!!

The only thing good is the cinnamon roll. But my friend loves it. The employees could use some help. And by help I mean attitude adjustment. They were annoyed with how much i ordered. And when I ordered and with what I ordered and my questions. And probably everything I did. Im still going back because my friend likes the place but me I hate it. The art is good though.

Wow what an amazing hole in the wall diner my best bud and I have been meeting up here to catch up the last couple months as we are too busy nowadays to set too much time aside, the waiters here are first class and always on top of their game, the food here is just like my ma and pops cooking man does it bring me back ten out of ten, ( not too bad of an idea to pick up a 10-4 magazine by the door to read while you wait for your food!)
Awesome experience, good vibe, you can seat yourself, service was quick. Would recommend.

This is my Favorite Truck stop Cafe! Great Service! And Great Food. And the Place is Always Clean. Your never walking into a bunch of Dirty Tables. I Hope this Cafe never closes up! It will break my heart!!
