Daniel was an amazing bartender/server along with his trainee(I think) Dustin. Their service will always make us come back. So hard to find such wholesome amazing service. Daniel recommended the best meals and we were blown away!
I only get up to Idaho Falls about once a year, and I never miss a chance to dine at Sandpiper! It never disappoints! Thank you for another great meal!

Very disappointed. Came for my birthday and did not have the same quality as usual. Coconut shrimp was just fried shrimp with coconut sprinkled on the top and garlic mashed potatoes were watery with really strong garlic flavor. My husband’s steak was tough and tasteless. New bread was gross.

Everything we had was amazing! My husband loved the prawns to start, I had the chicken pesto pasta, we shared Alaskan King crab and it was outstanding. His steak was great as well.
I think our server’s name was Clark? He was very on top of things.
We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the river. The only thing I might suggest would be some ambient music for those seated outside!
If you come here, be sure to get the mud pie for dessert! It blew my mind!
We will be eating here again should we ever return to Idaho Falls ??

Another split decision on our meals so call this a 4.5 star review. As a steak restaurant the atmosphere and service was top notch. The specialty drink menu had several tasty options that I expect from a top level restaurant. The food? both were tasty but one of us loved it and the other said it was good. You expect excellent for the price.

Beautiful view on the Snake River. Trevor, our waiter was excellent. Checking on us frequently without being annoying. We had the rainbow trout.... Very good.

I grew up with sandpiper. It pains me to leave negative feedback. 3 recent visits with unsatisfactory experiences. Wasted my time for the final time. Go somewhere else for nice food It’s 7:45 on a Saturday, patio closed…. Stray cats around there too. ?♂️
Had a great meal at this local spot. At first it took a bit to get a server. Once our server greeted us and took our drinks, we enjoyed a very nice meal. Dustin, who was our server took good care of us. The steaks were delicious. The baked potato loaded was very tasty. Cool little spot.

We came with a party of 6 for my soon to be daughter in laws bridal shower dinner. It has been 10 years or more since I last ate there. Unfortunately I remember why it's been 10 years. The plates were crazy expensive which would have been ok if it was good. I spent $42 on just a meal and tip. I didn't drink anything but water. The meal I got was a chicken and crab with an Oscar sauce they do. It tasted too fishy to even eat. I was trying to be polite and not say anything since I wasn't the one throwing the shower. When we left I threw my food away minus the 2 bites I tried. The next day the 2 other people I knew with us had said the same thing. Apparently all of us individually stopped and bought food on our way home. The atmosphere feels nice there, I love the open seating even when sitting inside. The waitress was nice enough, but never asked why we all had full plates when we left. I definitely won't go back there again unfortunately. In reality you get what you pay for ....and I paid way too much to throw it in the garbage.
Parking: The parking lot seems bigger than it is. I had to park up by the road and walk in. I have permanent damage in one of my feet and walking is hard. Walking that far with all the handicap spots taken was a nightmare for me personally.

WOW were we disappointed in the Sandpiper. We are orginally from Idaho Falls and stopped in to this iconic and beautiful location after an event on a Friday night. We wanted light food and a drink. It was nine o'clock and the kitchen was closing! There were just a few people there and the patio (the best part) was closed. WHAT! On a FRIDAY NIGHT! We mistakenly ordered a caesar salad and I had the pork and seeds appetizer. It looked a bit suspicious but I ate it. BIG MISTAKE! I was sick all night long. My husband had a less that fresh salad. YUCK! This is so disappointing. This used to be the best spot in town. It is run down, sad and needs a total refresh. It's a prime location.

Our waitress was efficient, attentive and personable. Our food was well prepared and delicious and we had a very short wait time once our order was placed.

The food was very bland , fish was over cooked, house salad was very dry.
The best part was the baked potatoes and the drinks. We have been celebrating our anniversary there for years, we will not be back ☹️
