The Sandpiper is one of our favorite restaurants. There are so many items to choose from, We have had the Halibut, Chicken Oscar, prime rib, steaks, etc The desserts are also very yummy. They have a full bar and in the Summer you can sit outside right on the Snake River, Great food and awesome scenery!

Food was very flavorful. We ordered the bread, spinach dip, coconut shrimp, steak, baked potato, mashed potatoes and berry cobbler, and all were fabulous. I did order the steak medium and it was practically mooing when it came out and had maybe a 2 minute sear on each side. It still tasted fine and that was my only complaint. Fantastic restaurant.

Crusted halibut, sirloin, ale battered shrimp, and steak sandpiper (bacon-wrapped filet with sauce) were all fantastic. Staff is very friendly, good service - one steak came out cold but they heated it up for us. Bread is complementary but was not brought out until we asked.

Fantastic place for food and drinks. The Manhattan's were strong and tasty. The prawns appetizer was incredible, went with the coconut version. I've had the halibut before and it's been incredible but I went with fish and chips this time. Perfectly fried and tender. Probably best place in Idaho Falls.
Absolutely excellent customer service. But completely unimpressed with the food. The steak was dry. The cheesecake crust was burnt. This is my second time trying Sandpiper, and the food was not any better this time.

As a last minute date night we decided to come here for the first time and our server Mahriah was amazing! We had fast service with our drinks, she coursed our food out perfectly, we weren't overwhelmed with too much food at once, and everything tasted amazing! Our tastebuds were so satisfied! We will definitely be back! We had the spinach artichoke dip, shrimp, sandpiper steak, and a surf and turf. As someone in the restaurant industry, I have very high standards and I was thoroughly impressed!

Overall I felt like it was a restaurant I would return to. I had the coconut shrimp which was delicious. The atmosphere wasn’t my favorite. It was very loud and pretty dated and kind of dark. I didn’t get to experience “being on the river” because it was dark and snowy outside which might’ve changed my thoughts on the atmosphere if I would have attended in the summer months.Parking: Parking lot is confusing and not many options close to the entrance.
