Shari's Cafe and Pies

We went and got food today and well the real reason was the stuffed hashbrowns! There was like 5-6 tables so not busy at all! As I ordered I specifically asked for stuffed hashbrowns and then our orders came it was very small portions and of course no stuffed hashbrowns to which I just asked for gravy and I didn't get it till after I had already finished! Upon paying I asked to see the receipt and she had the audacity to tell "at least I didn't charge you for the gravy"! I about lost it on this girl! Used to be an amazing place to eat! We will not be returning ever again! Very small portions and stupid expensive!

This place should be shutdown the new owners destroyed the place the service sucks they show stuff in menu when you get it not the same thing as showing they me and my husband went there to eat and ended walking out and going somewhere else and they ended up not charging us for anything I will never go there again

Great food great service and “Slim Kim” you are a very good waitress, polite and super friendly! Food is well worth the stop! Ham or No Ham ???

My boyfriend and I came in this morning and were waiting to be seated for a good 10 minutes, we eventually got sat down and immediately the server asked us if we knew what we wanted and just barely got there, and so we told her we need to look at the menu first and so she said alright I will come back in just a moment to take your drink order. She didn’t come back for about 20 minutes. By then we were ready to order and we waited about 45 minutes and still did not get our food. The table next to us left as well because no one came to help them. So we continued to wait for another 10 minutes and still nothing so we up and left because we still had not received our food! And they weren’t even busy at all! In the middle of waiting I had to use the restroom and as soon as I walked in the women’s bathroom there was water damage on the walls and mold everywhere! Black mold to be exact. Now I am not the person to write reviews because I’m not that kind of person but this was ridiculous!! And not to mention this isn’t the first time this has happened either! They were very unprofessional! Something needs to be done before these guys get shut down because them having mold like that is a huge health code violation!

My wife and I make this restaurant a regular stop whenever we travel to Idaho Falls for a weekend getaway. Their food is always good, and the staff has always been friendly and welcoming. I think this restaurant gets overlooked due to so many options in the area, and that's unfortunate, because they provide a quiet atmosphere with tasty food served by courteous staff.

Sayanna "Queen" was our waitress and boy was the service garbage. I'll never return. No refills, lack of utensils and napkins so we literally shared silverware to eat our meal.... yum.. NOT! This place needs a change in customer service. As an Idaho native, this has always been a great go to choice, but tonight ruined it. I've never felt so "unwanted" at a restaurant before and will unlikely return.

Well done. It's a nice atmosphere. Food was great. Our server was so polite I can't remember her name. She was African American so polite to my parents that are older. She was so kind. Highly recommend for a nice time out for whatever mood you're in.

The restaurant has three tables including ours, of guests, the service was slow. The waitress was telling the cooks everything that was missing from the orders. When we got our food, my plate had blood juices from raw meat on it with my fries piled on top, and both hamburgers were burned. The waitress was sweet. Didnt bother to send it back seeing the issues the cooks were having. Just wanted to support a family owned business.
