Do not order custom anything from this place. The owner is extremely rude and doesn’t care about customer experience. I received your response to my complaint regarding the birthday cake, and even if what you’re saying is true regarding the filling, the cake was still incorrect. And when I asked for the blueberry compote, your cashier said “I don’t know if we have blueberry, but we have fresh berries.” To my knowledge, that meant an actual filling, not just berries tossed in the middle of a cake. Not to mention, on your website you offer preserves as a filling option. Also, I didn’t pay for the order when the form was filled out, your employee called me to confirm it could be made, to which I was told it could be made as I asked, with the compote filling. I then paid over the phone because we don’t live in the area so I couldn’t come in and re-confirm the order form. And to your comment about “reviewing video footage,” all I confirmed on the form was that “Ciao to my 20s” was spelled correctly. Again, the cake was still incorrect, even on the order form you have “lemon cake with cream frosting” and it was a vanilla cake with frosting, no lemon. All this said, the overall experience was terrible, and when you called to try and rectify the situation, you were extremely rude when I asked for a refund. I understand no refunds if we are not satisfied, but this is just not what we ordered. At the end of the day, for the $100, for the sake of your reputation and the recommendation to others, I recommend you just give the customer the pickle.

If I could give no stars I would. The owner of this place is a liar and has quite literally the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. My husband ordered me a 30th birthday cake he was very specific in what he requested. The gal who took his order was fantastic and super helpful. She called the baker to confirm they could do what he was asking. She called him to let him know they had the filling he requested and he placed the order for the cake. We were from out of town spending the week there for my birthday. He ordered a lemon cake with blueberry compote filling and butter cream frosting. The decoration for the cake was beautifully done. We cut into the cake and it was a vanilla cake with lemon curd filling and fresh berries. Not what he had ordered. Even more so the cake was dense with no crumb. We ended up not consuming the cake and brought it back into the bakery at which time the same woman who helped my husband place the order acknowledged that the cake was not correct. She took the cake back and let us know someone would be in touch. It was a pleasant experience. Weeks went buy with no contact we had left messages and finally a month later the owner contacted my husband accusing him of yelling at her employees and stating that the cake was exactly what he ordered. She offered a in store credit. We spent $100 on a small cake that we didn’t consume. A refund felt more justified. She finally agreed to the refund and again weeks with no refund no contact and more messages unanswered. We decided to dispute the charge with our card holder and what do you know the business is justifying the charge and fighting us on the refund. I will not recommend this business to anyone.

A year ago tomorrow Hank and Sylvie’s let a child down on their birthday. I went to pick up my child’s cake and it wasn’t there. Two hours before the party. We drove in from out of town assured it would be there. Upon pick up time, nothing. Broken hearts and tears. No real reason was given, besides not paid for. INCORRECT. I paid two weeks in advance. I asked for the order slip and it all said, “PAID.” Unfortunately, bad business practice also came up. My CC information was written down on the order form, just hanging out for whoever works there to see. So, as the stressed customer service person panicked and called for more information about the order from whoever, they were clearly given a bs excuse and lying about not being paid. Their cheeks were red during and after the call. I feel so sorry for them to deliver bad news that had nothing to do with them. They still had the CC information there to charge if they were worried about it. It has taken me a year to review. I can’t be nice about it. A complete jerk move. No one called about issues of payment. I did call to make sure all was in order for pick up prior to arrival . Disappointed and disgusted. 🤮 BAD BUSINESS

Such a charming little spot! A very cute gift store and cafe all in one. I had an Americano and a chocolate croissant—both were excellent. The coffee was smooth and rich, and the croissant had the perfect flakey crust with a soft, buttery inside and high-quality chocolate. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
