It's ridiculous that non-skiers have to pay $30 to ride the gondola up to the restaurant. It's the only way up there. And you are using their restaurant.

The SV Roundhouse is a very special and classic on mountain experience. The food is good, staff is friendly and well trained. The scenery is outstanding. It's an essential visit while skiing one of the world's best winter resorts!

We usually like going to Roundhouse for drinks and appetizers in the bar. It's a fun place to visit and it has beautiful views. We didn't order anything fancy just burgers and the Croque Monsieur (sp?). Which is their prosciutto sandwich. The burgers were $30 and the sandwich was $32. They were good, nothing extraordinary. The french fries were delicious. It's expensive for what you get. I met people for lunch who had been skiing, so I had to pay $32 to ride the gondola up. They do not give you a discount if your dining there, which I think is disappointing.

Just lovely service all around. My second year here. I felt special for my birthday and they were able to accommodate my seating request. The food outstanding. I'm still dreaming about that lobster roll and truffle fries after some hot laps on the mountain.

Food was less than mediocre. Seating area is very chilly. It's a nice experience but and and really a one off thing to say you have been there. We will not be going back on this trip or next year. Very expensive for food that is less than good. Reminds me of waterfront restaurants back east... lousy food, great atmosphere. Service however was very good and not their fault that the food is just bad.

I got lost and I like it from my friends had a fabulous lunch ppl watching & enjoying myself.. the Filet med-rare was something else tender with an aromatic butter & micro greens delightful and tasty with potatoes

Our afternoon at Sun Valley’s Roundhouse Restaurant was an unforgettable mountain adventure. We decided to hike up the trail and work up an appetite, enjoying the stunning alpine scenery along the way. When we arrived, the Roundhouse greeted us with an inviting, upper-class mountain lodge vibe — but we felt completely at ease, sweaty and dirty from our hike.
The restaurant is both kid-friendly and dog-friendly, which made it perfect for our little crew. We settled on the patio, enjoying drinks and appetizers while playing a board game, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. They didn’t rush us at all, letting us relax and take in the beautiful mountain views.
Pro tip for visitors: hike up and ride the gondola down to fully experience the Sun Valley resort trails. The drinks were expertly crafted, the food was flavorful and satisfying, and the service was top-notch. The dog-friendly patio makes this a great spot for hikers, families, and pet owners alike.

We were able to eat on the deck this year and had beautiful weather. The deck is dog friendly so our little dog could sit next to us. The wait staff was excellent, and the food was amazing. We will definitely be going back next year.

We went to the roundhouse about 4 years ago for dinner during the winter and swore we would never go back because the prices were ridiculous for what we received. We decided to try it again for lunch in the summer and were pleasantly surprised. The prices were reasonable and the food was very good as was the view. I have two suggestions though. Add to your dessert menu and don't charge for the gondola ride if you have a reservation. The cost of the ride doubled the bill. The views were spectacular but not worth the 40 dollars each to ride up and back to eat.
