Overpriced and very small portions. $15 for 2 tiger rolls. $30 worth of food and the hostess was rude. Don't recommend.

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if sushi and Ketchum, Idaho had a love child, the answer is "Sushi on Second." This place takes sushi so seriously that even the mountains are in awe. Nestled in the heart of downtown Ketchum, Sushi on Second is the perfect spot for those who believe that fresh fish and good times go hand in hand.
Walking in, you’re greeted by a vibe so chill that even the wasabi seems to be on vacation. The decor is a clever mix of sleek modernity and rustic charm, which basically means you can look classy while trying not to spill soy sauce on your new fleece jacket.
Now, let’s talk about the sushi. The rolls here are so expertly crafted that I’m convinced they have a team of sushi wizards working tirelessly behind the scenes. The “Mr. Crunch” roll is a local favorite, and if it were a person, it would probably be the most popular guest at a party—bold, exciting, and just a little bit elusive. The fish is fresher than the mountain air and tastier than a sunrise over the Sawtooths.
And speaking of fantastic, let’s give a huge shoutout to Camille, the best waitress in town! She’s got a knack for making you feel like a VIP while effortlessly handling your endless requests. Camille’s recommendations are always spot-on, and her warm, friendly service ensures that every visit feels like a celebration.
In conclusion, if you’re in Ketchum and craving sushi that will make you do a happy dance in your seat, Sushi on Second is your go-to. It’s so good that even the moose might consider trading in their antlers for chopsticks. And with Camille on your team, your sushi experience will be nothing short of legendary.

Amazing. Great service, great food, great setting! Really really good sake and sushi. Our server Camille was awesome, not overwhelming and had great recommendations. The Joto Yuzu sake with a Bobs roll is a must!

I walked into this restaurant and thought it was a beautiful and very friendly local sushi spot. i was mistaken. we began eating. I asked for extra ginger and wasabi like I do at every sushi restaurant I go to. the waitress stuck her hand up at me and refused to give me the extra ginger. I then got my bill and left a 10% tip Due to the poor service. The manager then chased me out of the restaurant and said for me to never come back to the restaurant and that they will not serve me again. I then called the restaurant and the manager told me "That's just how we do service here." I do not recommend this place to anybody that isn't a local as they treat the tourists like garbage.

The worst experience ever. I came in so hungry and I left hungry with 110 $ less. It's not sushi ? it smooshie. Only mussels were good, but as far sushi goes, I do not recommend to go there. Portions are small and the taste was off.

Sushi on 2nd is overpriced and predatory in their model. The to-go orders tack on a 15% tip, which is ludicrous given that all they do is put it in a bag and then make you wait for 10-30 minutes to be seen to simply pick up your order. The host directly lied to me and said that this is gratuity is indicated on the website, I checked as soon as i got back and nowhere does it say that this is required. I have been faithfully coming for years but you have lost my business entirely. I cannot stand being lied to and taken advantage of, it has let a sour note at the end of an otherwise enjoyable visit.

We were shoved in a corner with no access- which made service slow because they could not get to us- 3 parties received food before our order was taken-way to saucy and over seasoned appetizers and rude staff- overpriced for sub par food and awful atmosphere- published prices way lower than what we were

3/1/24 7:30 reservation for 8 Server didn't come by often enough to check on us. When we asked for additional spicy mayo, he pointed to some on the table and said we already had some!!!!! What?! We told him we were going to need more for our additional rolls!! We would have reduced his tip, but we were in a group of 8 so it was automatically 20%! :(
