The food was good, the scones are huge and the Navajo tacos were popular. I wish they had other things on their TV than fox news

What a nice little hidden gem. This place had a really good food selection and the food was awesome. The portions were big and we left happy. The inside felt a little dated but everything else was great. Worth the visit if you are in the area.

We came here 6 years ago and received wonderful service and the food was great. This time we had a completely different experience. We were seated and given menus from the hostess and Sat there for a few mins. A large table of around 25 came in and sat. The waitress was at their table 2 mins later. We still had not been treated or anything. One of the workers was walking by and I got her attention and asked if she would please send out waitress over and she said "I'm sure she will come by after she gets the large tables order.". I replied "we were here at least 4 mins before they sat down". She left and apparently told the waitress when she finished with the big table. I hear, from 4 feet behind me, the waitress say "we serve in order of seating, I was taking the big tables order first because they were here first, what do they want me to do?". I turned and told her that we were here 3-4 mins before that table to which she replied, "well, they were on the list".I am so pissed that she had the nerve to sit and rudely talk about us right behind us where we could hear. She came to get our drink order and we were about to leave because I was NOT having her as our server. The manager ended up taking care of us. The manager was nice and attentive and our food was quite good.We are probably not going to come back here if that waitress is still working there.

The Chuckwagon is your typically western diner. They have all foods you’d expect and they are very reasonable. The food seemed a little on the bland, but they have salt and pepper and dipping sauces to jazz it up. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was good, I was pleased it was made fresh and not frozen. My wife got an eggs Benedict. Parking is on the street and can be pretty limited. But we came around 10AM and it wasn’t bad to find a spot.
Wow! 5 stars for Mary Lou! She made our dining experience great! All the staff were hard at work, super friendly, and attentive. We came around 5:30, and despite it being busy, we were seated as soon as we walked through the door and had menus in hand within 3 munytes of sitting.Food wasnt fast, but didnt take too long, and Mary Lou came to let us know it was on it way.I got the pulled Mac (Mac and cheese with bbq pork), was a little weary based off a previous review, but it was delicious.Be sure to get dessert, the lemon merengue pie was SO good!

Just had dinner here last night. We ordered the grilled chicken with green peppers/mushrooms and fettuccine Alfredo. My dinner was delicious but my daughter’s Alfredo wasn’t. The sauce was runny like water. She had a few bites but wouldn’t finish it. We substituted the toast/bread for a scone and that was delicious as well.We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and try them for breakfast. We ordered crepes. They were dry and the cream cheese they out inside was too thick. I love crepes and everywhere I have had them had a sauce on top, these did not. I asked for a strawberry jam hoping that would help, but it didn’t. I didn’t finish them. My daughters pancake, she liked that (other than it fell apart very easy). Ordered a scone as well, but that was never given to us. When we went to pay, I asked for that to be removed from my bill since we never received it and she kept saying that she was sure she brought it to us. In the end, they finally did take it off.Needless to say, for dinner we went to the 78 Main Street Restaurant.Parking: Only has street parking. If you’re staying at one of the few hotels, you’re better off walkingKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here.
If you want large portions and small prices just to fill your stomach..then this is the place to go. If you want quality food, best look elsewhere. Service was great. Food was one notch above something you could buy from a truck stop.

Prime rib special on Saturday night was not so special. I asked for medium rare, it came grilled and still mooing. It was inedible how rare it was. And who grills prime rib? Loaded baked potato was cold, and the waitress forgot my salad. When I said something about it when paying she laughed at me and said that “she knew I was going to complain”. Service was really lacking there instead of hey sorry your order was bad, the waitress made me feel like I had done something wrong. I know the locals need all the business they can get so treating people like that isn’t the best idea. However we did order breakfast to go the next morning and that was good. We ate the food at the bar next door. I would try it again because of the breakfast. Everyone else we talked to at this place was friendly
