“The food was alright, beer was on point, but the service was sub-par. We had to ask for utensils and napkins, which were never delivered (we had to grab them ourselves). We asked for condiments twice, before giving up and eating the food plain (we had burgers and sandwiches, so that was disappointing). My attempt to catch the waitress' attention to order another round of drinks was pointless. The people next to us had a different server and their service was poor, as well. And it wasn't even busy, there were only five other parties (none bigger than a six-top).”

“Best service I’ve had in town amongst a few different restaurants. We arrived during a rush and no problem getting our food timely. Food was good and service was better.”

“Where to start on such an excellent dining experience... I guess at the beginning. My date and I did not know that reservations where required, but even when not having any, the owner/director kindly accommodated us as if we did have reservations. Immediately, I sensed an atmosphere of “welcome home”. We were seated at the bar-top; which turned out to be another great decision. The bartender was not only engaging and well knowledge at his craft, but sincere and excited to see his customers. And let me add, he did not skimp on the spirits... We were well relaxed by the time our appetizer and entree arrived... Speaking of the appetizer and entree... A wonder experience of flavor! The Seared Scallops were done perfectly done with an almond brown butter which included macadamia nuts and crumbled bacon. It that was so good we ordered more bread to sop up the remaining juices. The entree of the night was the Short Rib. If you like beef stew or anything with beef, broth, carrots and mashed potatoes...this is the dish for you. I’m not sure what Beef Bourguignon tastes like, but this dish will give it a run for its money. Tender beef that melts in your mouth, flanked by tender slices of sweet carrots, placed on top of a pillow of perfectly whipped and seasoned mashed potatoes...all surrounded by the best beef stew-AuJus I’ve ever had. Again, the bread was used to sop up every drop of juice. By the end of the meal, we were in heaven. It was a meal and an experienced that would turn any bad-day into a good one. We WILL be back; and sooner than later! My only regret is that I did not take pictures of the meal or of the updated menu.”

“I’m going to start with we are from WV. We stopped here after soaking in the towns wonderful hot spring. The girl at the window was completely confused when my husband ordered a hot dog with sauce and onion. Now here in WV everyone knows sauce is a nice sweet and spicy- meaty chili style topping with either onions or slaw. Apparently that is not normal out here in the west😂he then said ok just chili- nope 👎 not a thing- ok just do a burger. He thought the burger was really good 😊 I ordered a plain dog and it was the first time I’d had it cut in 3’s and fried and I liked it very much! Overall it was a memorable stop. Thanks ☺”

“It was so good!! Three meat sandwich on Sourdough Bread with Tilly’s toppings!! Pizza, Churos, Cinnamon Roll, Fruit parfait!! Everything is Fantastic!!”

“Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews recently. This restaurant is a staple in town but some changes were desperately needed. It’s understandable that it took the new owners some time to get dialed in on the food. They clearly listened to their patrons and the reviews. I ordered food to-go tonight and it was all amazing! Best wonton soup I’ve ever had! I also ordered the spring rolls and pha naeng curry. Both were delicious and full of flavor. My only complaint was the curry was loaded with chicken and I’m a veggie lover. Meat lovers won’t be disappointed! The chicken was very tender and cooked perfectly and veggies were fresh.

I didn’t dine in - but one of my favorite girls from Tilly’s pizza was the server so I already know the service is great.”

“Stopped in to The Bar to have a couple of drinks. Kelly was so nice, and it’s such a comfortable place to hang out for on hour or 2. Walking distance to the Caribou Gem in case you have to many drinks.”
