The food is very overpriced and bland. I got the verde enchiladas with spicy pork and everything was so tasteless. The best thing they have going for them is the salsa bar, that was the only thing with flavor. Kids meals are also $8 and are a tiny cheese quesadilla with rice and beans. I would definitely suggest finding something else if you are only eating in Lava for one meal.

We had two orders of three taco platters and they were stacked. We could have gotten one platter and one taco on the side and would have been satisfied. Super delicious steak and chicken, but the spicy pork was my favorite. Nicely stocked salsa bar and roasted jalapeños that were almost too spicy. I would definitely eat here again.

Best Mexican food and not just because it's the only one around but honestly some the yummier Mexican food we've had! We're from Southern California and we've had mexican food from so many places but this place is definitely top 5 for me. Even the popular tacos from Las Vegas tacos los Gordos do not even come close. This place is awesome highly recommend. They accept Apple Pay too btw. Tres leches cakes, Tortas, tacos, and margaritas were fire!

I really liked this place. It was as air conditioned as it could be for how many people were walking in and out of it. I consider myself to recognize good Mexican folks when I see it and the photos on the menu had me concerned. However, I got the Colorado enchiladas and they were great. They were much better looking and tasting than they appeared on the menu. The rice and beans were also very tasty. We also got a side of chips and salsa and the salsa was pretty fresh and tasty. My wife got the street tacos and they were great as well. They have a salsa bar too if you want to spice it up or get your extra fixins. I would eat here again for sure. Marking this as 4-stars because I'm tired of companies not doing free refills on soda (especially because the margins are in the cup you already bought and paid for). Especially after a hot day at the pool or river, treat your guests better.

Food was great. Service was incredible (family owned and everyone works there). I order the fajitas (steak) burrito covered in Colorado sauce. Flavor was amazing. It came with rice and beans, but there was nothing special about it. Presentation of food was poor, but that's ok because the price is affordable. I got a side of chips, salsa and guacamole. Chips were ok, salsa was good but the guacamole was incredible (4 out of 5. It looked like it was blended in a food processor to save time. To get a 5, I would suggest hand mixing). Lots of seating inside and out.Family friendly. They had Pepsi (not my drink) and Mexican coke which is over priced and you 10-12oz is never enough. 1st year in a brick and mortar corner spot. If you like Mexican food, you'll love this spot. Next time I'll get the street tacos. I hear their corn tortillas are homemade.

The Number one shrimp fajitas with the home made corn tortillas was very good and reasonably priced with a Pepsi.. They do serve alcohol just as an fyi but I had to go back to work lol They are opened on Monday and Tuesday.. except Tuesday June 6 they will be closed . Normal hours are 11 am to 8 pm and later once the summer time tourists show up in Lava

We came here for dinner over the weekend while visiting Lava Hot Springs and everything was delicious! They started as a food truck, and recently opened up their brick and mortar about a year ago I believe? We got to chat with the owner and she was so sweet. The locals loved the food truck so much that they were able to opened up their brick and mortar!I got the veggie quesadilla and our food came out SO quickly. You can get a combo meal with rice and beans but I wasn't terribly hungry so I opted out of the rice/beans. Their beans do have lard in them though, just a heads up for individuals who are vegan/vegetarian. The quesadilla was great, perfectly grilled with delicious caramelized onions and veggies inside. It came with sour cream as well.We also ordered chips and salsa and a side of their guacamole, and were shocked by how delicious it was! We ate the whole thing almost immediately. They have Cutwater canned margaritas - we got the mango and the lime and preferred the lime. The mango one was super sweet. The one downside to this place was that they use plastic cups and cutlery and paper plates. While it's easy for cleanup, it's been a while since I've been to a sit down restaurant that has plastic cutlery and paper plates. We'll be back next time we're in the area!

This is the #1 Mexican restaurant but I believe it's the only one. The Enchiladas we really like but the Fajitas we're not my favorite but they are good. Royal across the street is a much stronger restaurant.

An outstanding small business (mexican food). The team is great, well maintained and clean restaurant. This use to be a food truck until a few years ago. A well display salsa bar.

We were excited to find a new restaurant open in Lava and even better that it's Mexican food. We had a great lunch! Yummy enchiladas and the tortillas were very good. I would suggest it! Let's keep this place open!!!

The condiment bar, the fresh cilantro, AND lime avacado sauce! Best I have ever had!
