This place is a MUST if you are visiting Lava Hot Springs Idaho. This place has the best views in the entire town for food and drinks, great customer service, amazing chips and salsa (definitely try), and overall an amazing experience!
Seriously the staff is good. Cody is a great guy. Views upon Views .. Food not so great
Love the atmosphere and staff. Everything was great. Will definitely go back here
Awesome place overlooking Lava Hot Springs. Do not miss it. Salsa was awesome!!
Beautiful view, but the bar isn’t great. They don’t have a liquor license so you cannot get a mixed drink. They have some beer on tap, but mostly everything is canned cocktails. I bought two, one for me and one for my boyfriend and was charged $9.00 for each when I could have gone down the street and gotten them for $4.00 each. I won’t be returning.
I stopped in yesterday after a long week of work in Tooele, UT. Cody greeted me when I walked in and I spent about three hours enjoying the amazing view and hospitality. I look forward to coming back next time I get to head down to Lava!
I was here with a friend and we ordered two Whiteclaws and two shots. The bartender poured water instead of making the shots. I asked the bartender about it and told her the shots were water and she began screaming at me and threatened to call the cops. My friend and I ended up walking away and didn't even take the Whiteclaws. Considering the way we were treated by the bartender, we will not be back here.
Worst bar I've been to... Their food is made with air fryers? Menu is VERY basic and small. I went to this bar with a friend and got singled out by one of the locals. Bar keep or the owner did nothing to stop if from happen but sat there and watched the whole thing go down. Let alone the Owner of the business was drinking and dancing with the locals. If you plan on a good night out avoid this place at all cost. Food sucks, bar keep sucks and the locals are not good people. They will single you out for any reason they find. If you do go in, good luck.
No real liquor license (No drinks outside of canned beer and low percentage alcohol). No website for bar outside of Facebook. Information about the "bar" hours and noise intensity are not accurate on AirBnB listings nor google maps on Android devices and are not mentioned anywhere else. On the AirBnB it says "there will be music playing until 10 PM most summer nights" Not only is it winter, but it is currently almost 1 AM and music is still vibrating the residence. For those staying at the Lava Hillside Suites, beware drunk people may attempt to enter the upper rooms. The doors need to be pushed against the weather stripping for the deadbolt to actually lock which we learned after someone barged into our room unnannounced and without a shred of a sound beside the door opening and shades parting. No managers are on staff to handle emergencies and the owner seemingly cannot be contacted while the bar is operating later in the evening. And the sweet bartender could not do a thing to handle the situation and the situation has yet to be resolved. No edits will be made to this review besides spelling mistakes to ensure accuracy and establishment integrity at the time it was submitted.
We went up all those stairs and it was WORTH IT! The view was incredible. The owner was super down to earth and very professional. Bought some pull tabs and won 100$. We will definitely come back next time we are in town

I'm sure thins place is poppin in the summer, but when my wife and I visited on Thanksgiving night it felt like getting together with your cousins and having a beer. The locals were incredibly friendly and the bartender/GM Cody was attentive, conversational, and had a great vibe. There was a local drunk making a mild scene and Cody handled it with grace and humor. Then he shared some of the local spots to soak away from the crowd. He told us the he found one of his favorite holes and fell asleep in it for a half an hour. Lol, he was a very chill dude.
Advice to everyone visiting Lava Hot Springs. The locals live here because they are passionate about the lifestyle. They soak everyday and are very chill people. The pace of life is a bit slower, so be patient and follow their lead.
Park and hike up stairs!, or park up top adjacent to other entry.
Went up for a drink after going to the hot springs pretty early in the day. Business hadn’t really started yet but the bartender I believe his name was Cody was AWESOME! He had all the tea on the town and was super friendly. Guy should be the dang mayor he made us want to move to the town by how well he sold it lol 10/10 recommend going for that guy alone and it’s veteran owned which we love!
This place was awesome. Unique spot and views. Will return on our next visit.
Visited in the off season. Enjoyed the views but they need a liquor license.
