Stopped by this afternoon for an early dinner and had a fun 5☆ experience. We were warmly greeted which set the stage. Our bacon wrapped dates starter was carmalized to crispy perfection. We also tried the baked brie and the bbq ribs before dinner. Everything was great. Most importantly our hosts were kind and gracious people. It is hard to find sophistication combined with warmth and welcome. Thanks

For some reason when we see "Bistro" in a restaurant name we have an expectation of quality. After eating at Bistro 45 with my wife and 2x teenagers, I can attest in this case that expectation was exaggerated. Awkward service (just odd - like the hostess and servers were straining to be polite) and very mediocre food. As an appetizer the chicken wings were ok, cooked well enough but the asian sauce had an odd orangy tone, and the bisin chili was, well, chili. For entrees the fish tacos were inedible. Even our two burgers were underwhelming, and the meaty Flatbread was both doughy and ketchupy. I believe the five star ratings must be from locals who see very limited options in this small town, or people who come primarily to drink. 2x stars is a fair rating.

The new location has great atmosphere and friendly bartender and staff. We did not have food this visit but the food in the past has never been a disappointment. The bistro recently relocated below the yacht club into historic building in McCall. Bistro has always been a local favorite and the new location is roomer and has a huge patio overlooking our lovely Payette Lake. Don’t miss a visit here!

Excellent service and fun atmosphere! Even on a cool day, the restaurant accommodated the customers. Went above and beyond.

I wanted to like this place after reading reviews. The staff was friendly but place was a mess and the food was not good. We ordered, paid and watched a young man prepare our food with his bare hands while rubbing his nose and face several times. His friends came behind the counter fist bumping and then he went back to making our food. He was also eating and drinking at the same time. I was so grossed out. There were four different people behind the counter talking with him and none of them were clean. Completely unsanitary. I would not eat here again.

Staff was nice.Personally didn’t really like the sandwiches. There is free water, but didn’t it seem hygienic and neither did cups for it, so definitely recommend getting bottled.Baked brie was pretty good.

*Delicious* variation of a club sandwich — open-face, melted, with tomato, onion & basil-pesto mayo!
