I feel like I’m being generous with two stars. Parking is a nightmare. They can fit like 6 cars so you have to park elsewhere. Second this place is teeny tiny. As soon as you walk in you have to order at the front counter. The whole ordering ahead thing system is a joke; especially when they expect you to bus your own table. I asked for scrambled eggs and bacon and the young woman taking the order looked at me like I unalived her dog. I begrudgingly tipped 5$ on a 39$ order. My wife liked her burrito and drink but she spent the rest of the day in the bathroom. I asked for sourdough toast and ended up with a muffin. If you wait in line you’ll be standing right next to patrons sitting down which ruins experience for other guests. When I asked for a to go box and a lid for my drink I was treated like I was putting them out. We stayed overnight in McCall and this was the first place that popped up. I probably should’ve read the reviews more but alas we won’t return to the foglifter cafe. The bacon was undercooked and the hashbrowns tasted like the pre made ones you get from Costco. I know because I’ve bought them before and the taste is to the t. Unfortunately there was nothing fresh about it. It didn’t take long to get the food but we were anxiety driven so we left as quick as we could. Also it your going to start having people bus their own tables which I didn’t mind too much since it’s two plates at least make the spot to bus them big enough to where your not crowded and make it higher up so you don’t have to crouch down low.

Had a mediocre breakfast burrito. Companion’s huevos rancheros was also poorly executed. There are a number of good places in town. Skip Foglifter and go across the street to the Den for the smoked brisket Benedict.

It’s really not that hard to make one shot of espresso when asked multiple times. Doesn’t really matter if you’re busy. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush and expect your entire order to come out

This place has gone downhill, which is sad, they used to be a favorite in McCall. My burrito was dry and the customer service was not good. We said “thank you” to the barista twice who just glared at us in return. The other staff were friendly though.

This was probably the most disappointing breakfast we’ve ever had. Pictured is the burrito I got. I forgot what it was even called but the uncooked tortilla was the star of the show. I couldn’t believe it. It was almost slimy. My bf got a breakfast with hash browns, sausage, scrambled eggs and wheat toast. The toast had no butter on it. Nor was there any butter or jelly in the bag. No ketchup and to top it off he was missing the sausage. Had we not already got it to the park to eat we would have returned it.

Ate there just today, around 1:30 pm. Hubby had a BSTA sandwich and Irish Cream cold brew; I had a turkey sandwich. The pannini bread was fresh, as we're the ingredients. The chips and orange slice were fresh. This is a café, not a restaurant, so the customer service is slow, not always accurate on the deliveries. Spendy, but this is McCall!

The terrible service is the downfall here. No one speaks English and they are ridiculously slow and dont seem to care about those downfalls at all. Staff just wasn't pleasant.

A nice little breakfast place but the food was just ok. Biscuits were hard (not fresh) and everything else was just ok.

This place is not really a cafe. They are more like a coffee place that has breakfast options. We didn't eat here because we wanted food from a cafe.

Fogg Lifter recently helped me out with a multiple day large order of coffee for our school's faculty that were in town for a retreat. The owner and manager were incredibly helpful, kind, and went out of their way to serve our needs. I can't say how grateful I am to the whole Fogglifter team. I highly recommend this cafe to everyone.

Great food but a little pricey. We enjoyed our breakfasts and an apple juice but I was surprised to see that the bill was over $40.00. I skipped the hash browns with my eggs Benedict and my husband had one of the breakfast specials. You order at the counter and then a server brings your food to your table. At those prices I am used to full service.

Fog is one of my favorite spots to eat — the food is always fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is great. I also want to give a shoutout to Eli, who is such an awesome food runner. He’s quick, attentive, and makes sure everything gets to the table just right. It’s the little details and great service like this that make the whole dining experience even better. Definitely recommend checking out Fog!

I’ve been to this local café twice now, and both visits felt… underwhelming. The atmosphere is charming and has potential, but the service has been consistently mediocre—not just for me, but seemingly for others around me too. I walked up to the counter, ready to order, and wasn’t greeted or acknowledged either time.
It’s disappointing, especially when you’re hoping for that warm, welcoming coffee shop energy. The space has a lot of promise, but the customer service experience left me feeling a bit overlooked. I’d love to see a little more presence and friendliness from the staff in the future.
