Ordered take out and was told it would take about 35-40 minutes so we ordered a pitcher of beer and waited. After an HOUR we were told they are about to start the ticket, I was about to cancel the order and leave but they promised it was almost done. The waitress with long blond hair was a star, her kindness was what kept us waiting. Not to mention we over heard the other waitresses saying it wasn’t fair that our ticket was being pushed back. Being short staffed is understandable, if we would have been told it would take almost 1.5 hours to make we would have just gone somewhere else and not have our first time experience at this place tarnished.

The staff and the environment were great but The manager “Train” on the other hand seemed to lack focus and care for the customer…. He seems to be lacking the skills to be an appropriate management figure … Taking multiple shots with customers while on shift … and being disrespectful to his young employees was a huge concern of my parties; almost to the point of making me fear for there safety.. as we leaving the sushi bar he was having a had time walking out of the building to go start his own vehicle, holding onto the wall and other vehicles to be able to stand . I feel that with better management this atmosphere would greatly improved!

While they don't have any competition in town for Japanese food their food is still pretty decent. It's better than grocery store sushi. Lots of good flavors. Where they really excel is in their ambience. It was snowing hard outside when we visited and The Sushi Bar was so cozy inside. The lighting and decor was prefect. As others have said the service could be improved. The waiter wasn't very attentive. It was 20 minutes after arriving before he took our orders. We had to asked him to refill our waters... just little things like that that added up to feeling neglected.

Saddest, most disrespectful service of a lifetime (hopefully). I brought my little daughter who loves Japanese food for a special dining experience in my in-law’s hometown. Finally, after waiting for anybody to come to our table, a server reluctantly took our drink order including an appetizer. We were one of only a handful of customers (I’ve done pick up here when it’s been packed and even then it was efficient). I could see our server talking to another server pointing at our table and after dropping off our drinks (a glass of wine and kid’s bev.) she did not come to our table again. Somebody dropped off our appetizer and while eating, a new server came by, took our menus and left our check without a word. I asked him if I could see a menu because my daughter would at least like dinner and he told me what kids typically order. I said forget about it and left after paying. We found dinner at a respectable place worthy of our business after leaving. I’ve been a server in small towns and big cities when I was younger and never worked for a business that treated single moms that way. It’s McCall too…this isn’t Seattle or even a Bozeman sushi restaurant which we have frequented and never been treated so poorly anywhere. I hope those servers have children of their own and dine somewhere other than a chain restaurant and are ignored by young servers until basically being asked to leave after paying for nothing.

We had a lovely pre-New Years Eve dinner here. I’ve heard good things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint! We had reservations for the first seating at 4 pm and there was a long line of people waiting to get in but we were seated immediately and the food and drinks came out in a pleasant cadence. Friendly and professional wait staff, excellent view of the lake, and great ambiance. I’ll definitely be back!

We had an amazing night with our large group in the private dining room. Emma, our server, was so kind and patient with all of us crazy ladies! Thank you team for a delicious dinner party!
Our server walked right by us three times before he got to our order. He served others who came in after us. Real rude. I'm sorry but I hope they didn't put fresh catfish in my meal. Yes they serve catfish. About an hour after getting home I was on the john getting rid of dinner. Not good, we will not be back.

I had a bowl with their unagi alternative (a sustainable catfish raised in Idaho rather than endangered fish!) with black forbidden rice--this was amazing!

Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! The service was outstanding and so friendly. We sat out on the patio and watched the sunset over the lake. I asked for the Spring Fever roll off the menu and told the waitress to surprise me for the second. They brought out Moe’s Special roll and it was beautiful and delicious! I’ll be coming back without a doubt. 11/10 HIGHLY recommend
