They substituted a flour shell on my tostada without telling me. I’m gluten intolerant and didn’t want to drive 30 min each way for a replacement. Very frustrating.

Cafe Rio is similar to Chipotle, but I prefer Cafe Rio over Chipotle. Big reason is the tortillas. Cafe Rio actually makes their tortillas in the restaurant. The tortillas taste better and, of course, fresher. I had a Pollo asado burrito and every bite was flavorful. We also got some "ninos" mini quesadillas. They have kids meals available as well. The employees were friendly and worked as a team. Shout out to the guy with goatee. He was a true multi-tasker cooking and jumping in between making burritos. I ll be back Cafe Rio

My family and I love Café Rio and have been getting it every Saturday night for a while, but I’m not sure how much longer we will keep going. The order is usually inaccurate and the food is not always given the attention it needs. Tonight, our salad was cold through and through—cold tortilla, cheese not melted to the tortilla, cold meat. The salsa and pico were missing from our chips & queso order. I ordered two bags of chips, but they gave me two bags half filled, so I handed them back and asked for more. They added only a few more chips, not sure it made a difference. I spent nearly $40 to feed my family and used all my points I had saved up, and I know we would have been better off going to McDonald’s for a third of the cost. I think the biggest thing I have going against me is that I usually place a big order and am trying to feed six people, so there’s more opportunity for error by the staff. The upside is that the manager has given me a free meal ticket many times to make up for errors, which is so nice of him. But at this point I feel like the villain in this story because of how often the manager has had to compensate for problems. I don’t want to keep complaining, but the errors are regular.
