My husband and I were out and about at the Village this afternoon. I wanted something sweet so we decided to go to Chip to grab a couple cookies to share. I was gifted cookies from their downtown location so I was excited to stop into this location for a sweet treat.

Walking in, the gal that was working popped out from the back. She greated us. She wasn't rude but wasn't really friendly, she was just there. I looked over the cookies they had available and she just stood there. Stood there and stared. I guess a little interaction would have been nice. Or maybe she could have thrown a little info about the cookies my way instead of just staring. I just never understood how you can work at such a fun cookie shop and not deliver customer service of any sort. Crumble cookie is guilty of this too. So, clearly Chip is no better.

I decided on the Og chocolate chip cookie and the Oreo cookie. Both looked really good! You can't go wrong with a classic and an Oreo cookie. I wasn't asked if I want or need anything else. Girl walked to the register and stood there. Didn't say two words to me while checking out. I read the room, paid for my product and was handed my goods. I appreciate that a tip is requested at the end of your payment. Tipping is for great service. I didn't feel bad for not leaving anything.

I ate the whole OG and didn't feel an ounce of guilt that I didn't share any of it with my husband. It was so good! There were plenty of chocolate chips in each bite. It was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The chocolate chips were slightly melted since the cookie was warm. I enjoyed it with my iced breve that I got at Royal coffee. I'm looking forward to eating the Oreo cookie later tonight. I will most definitely share it with my husband this time.

I wish I could have given this experience a higher ranking. My cookie was so good but the customer service was just not there. It's sad to have such a killer product and not have your employee deliver it to the next level for you. Like I told a local bakery in another review, I paid almost 10 bucks for 2 cookies today. I would be more than happy to buy Tollhouse ready to bake cookies and save myself 7 bucks. But instead I supported your business. With the lack of delivery, I would have rather spent the 3 bucks on ready to bake cookies and be happy than be treated the way that I did for 10.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Thicker built female brunette with glasses was working. Rolled her eyes as we walked in. Rude, couldn’t answer simple questions, made fun of how we pronounced a cookie, and then rolled her eyes and was INTENTIONALLY rude to my 12 year old daughter who wanted to order and pay for her own cookie. Do yourself a favor and fire this girl.
