Our favorite breakfast for 25 years or so, but the slip over those years has whipped us. Yesterday's was just so disappointing. Waffle was dried out such that it broke trying to cut it. Strawberries had no juice from sugar added. Bacon had very little flavor. My eggs were good, my biscuit was good, the gravy was great, but my CFS was not crispy as requested. My bacon, again requested to be "crispy/well done" was not, and the 2nd time was not. Finally 3rd time was a charm, but so disappointing to wait or eat the rest without the bacon. Last, I've never been able to get good crispy hash-browns. I asked my server "Please as the cook staff to please cook my hash-browns with a little oil so they are crispy/well done." She told me they use butter. That won't crisp hash-browns, it will only dry them out and color them with heat. No effort whatever to crisp my hash-browns. I got the same ol' dried out, hard, darkened hash browns. I did not eat them. After 3 attempts to cook my bacon to order, and not cooking my hash-browns to order, there was no adjustment to the ticket. If I'd only skipped the special and ordered the cinnamon roll French toast.

It's a quaint little dinner, with absolutely huge portion sizes, great waitress, and even better food. It was very clean and inviting... 10/10 would recommend again and again

This was our first time at the Express. We have passed it many times and have read the reviews, so we decided to try out their breakfast.
My favorite meal bar none is Bacon, Eggs, Hash Browns and a cup of robust coffee with the hash browns being the highlight of the meal at anytime of the day.
Before we ordered the waitress told us that they do not have any hash browns. Needless to say I was very disappointed and almost left, but I did not want to be rude.
I asked if this happens often. She replied that it happens when their supplier runs out. That is a deal breaker for me.
Coffee was mediocre and the Country fries are literally French fries cut in squares. They would be great with a sandwich or burger, but not with bacon and eggs.
Some of you might like it some might not.
We will be going back to my go to place for breakfast. The service was good and everyone was pleasant.

My grandson, who now lives in Meridian, took us here for breakfast. I had the Country Platter and took half home for breakfast tomorrow. Great food and friendly wait staff. Hope we get a chance to come back.

We are traveling from out of state and because we noticed how well these guys appreciate their Servers and how amazing the food looked in the reviews we decided to stop for some french toast and biscuits & gravy. We were so happy with our meals, they were absolutely delicious! Wish we could take y’all home with us! Highly recommend!!
