Heard good things about this place, so decided to give it a try for lunch. Ordered a Caesar wrap because I just wanted something light, BIG MISTAKE. The next day I ended up with the worst FOOD POISONING I’ve ever experienced. Even went to the Dr to confirm it. Dr recommended going to the ER for IVs. I know it was the wrap, because the only other thing I had to eat that day was dinner I cooked and everyone who ate it was fine. So bummed, because I had high hopes, but will definitely never return. BE CAUTIOUS and make sure you don’t have any plans the day after eating here.

Use to love Fat guys they changed the menu! I couldn't change my bread on the sandwich I wanted and now I couldn't have it because I can't eat Rye! But I could change my cheese! ????The older lady at the counter wouldn't sell me soda for my kids because "it's not healthy or good for them, their kids"?? They now have a slogan stating "IT'S OUR WAY OR GO TO SUBWAY" well you got it buddy! My wife is a content creator with 250million views and 50k followers right here in IDAHO. Looks like she has something to talk about in her next video. We use to love this place we even donated money to their employees medical emergency. We will not be back! Subway it is! sometimes you you have too lay in the messy arrogant bed you make!

Going on 15 minutes and haven't gotten my food yet. Still waiting for a $10 to go sandwich. I think I will stick with faster places as I don't have an hour lunch break.

Edit: while fat guys will always have a special place in my heart for being previously one of the best delis in Idaho under new management quality has slowly changed different things have been prioritized a slimmer menu than previous some favorites such as the worthington melt taken off the menu while I wasn’t sure that the change would initially matter when ownership changed the business isn’t what it used to be. Unfortunately fat guys may not be the best sandwich shop in Boise any more.One of the best delis in Idaho if not the best. Every sandwich you can tell has work put into it to make sure the flavors are right and despite some of the combinations sounding weird everything works together well. Don't be afraid there is tons of bacon but it's not just adding bacon because everyone generally loves bacon but the flavors work together with the rest of the sandwich. We haven't even addressed that this is a sandwich dele and they have some of the best sides I have ever tasted. I know people that will go here just for the soup because it's not just out of a can its been prepared with love.

Amazing customer service. Our first time here and didn't know where to begin. But with a few recommendations we definitely got what we paid for. The food was out of this world and you can tell the people care about their food and the taste. The customer experience while enjoying their food is the top priority for them. We will definitely make this our sandwich spot. We cannot wait to try all of their different sandwiches. Highly recommend to anyone.

The sandwiches are the best! They have a nice variety to choose from, and they come with a small side. I haven't tried their soup yet, but it looked delicious.

I used to love this place but it has definitely changed...for the worse. Odd that they won't allow customizations on sandwiches. Lots of good sandwiches are no longer on the menu. The sign telling people to go to Subway is weird. Never thought I'd say this but I would prefer Subway over this place now. Too bad.
My husband and I went to get lunch today from kuna. My husband loved “The Rancher” which was a bbq base sandwich. The service was fine friendly cashier- even made jokes. However the food just wasn’t the same. Still good but not as great as we once remembered! No sandwiches with bbq sauce now- got rid of half the sandwiches. Had asked for a cup for water (had bariatric surgery, so can’t drink soda) and was told had to buy a bottle water. I had ordered a wrap which was alright it was 80 percent lettuce I remember it being 50-60 percent meat. Which this place was known for “fat guys-fat sandwiches” not anymore :/ we were let down. Most likely won’t be going back.

Excellent sandwich. Got the Trevor Melt (French dip). Excellent flavor, size. Will be back. It’s just different enough to make you remember them. If you don’t mind having “their way” then the sign “our way or go to Subway” is fine by me.

we came last week we were slightly short they covered the entire sandwich and were so kind about it. cowboy hat is so kind and the elderly lady was beyond sweet to our children! huge portions that are so tasty!

Not a fan! I was the only customer in the restaurant and simply asked for no sauce. I was told they were “unable” to do so, the best they could do was cook it on, which made no sense to me. I asked for potato salad as a side and got au jus. Things happen, but I was the ONLY one there. It was take out so I didn’t realize until I was already home. I was really looking forward to trying this place out and severely disappointed, especially after seeing the owner bashing people on Facebook for complaining about the service and food. I wouldn’t suggest this business to anyone.
