First time here. We came because there was an article in BoiseDev that piqued our interest because we like smoky bbq. We would’ve never known just by the name alone that it was a barbecue place, (“Imperium” to us seems like it could’ve been a vape or tattoo shop). I wish there was a sign underneath saying “bbq” or “grill”.
We ordered chicken thigh, pork belly, and ribeye meats with the bacon wrapped mushroom. The food was delicious, BUT it was very small portions. What was missing was some sort of side dish such as a rice or mashed potato or vegetable option included with the meat skewer.
The service was fast, the restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. But because of the lack of food quantity we probably won’t be returning. We left still a little hungry.

l was very excited for a gluten free restaurant but the experience was somewhat disappointing. The vegetable plates we ordered were alright and came out together. The meat plates however were dusted with something overly salty, and came out one plate at a time. l was aware that it was a small plate tapas style menu but I didn't expect to have to wait 10 minutes between bites. They were only 2 other tables of 2 people each at the time.

I recently visited Imperium as I saw it recently opened and it's something I can't describe, It's the most amazing place I've ever visited, my wife loved it, everything about it, from the smoked bacon tomato, to all their keto-friendly wagyu options, it's a must from me.

On a trip to Meridien, I was taken to this new restaurant. A really great concept. Very varied menu, lots of different choices. With multiple skewers, vegetables, chicken, salmon and finally scallops, I had such a variety of tastes and even enough room for ice cream!! I will definitely return to explore the rest of the menu.
