I really like Kinya. We go for lunch and there aren't many people, I think the evening hours see more diners. Service is attentive. I go for the Ramen and the crab rangoon which is better quality than most. You can choose your broth and ask for your favorite noodles. We also like the music. Very clean and comfortable place. There are other entrees, sushi, boba.

Its been a few months since ive been here but I figured Id share my experience. I walked in and was seated then I was forgotten about and it took the staff about 10 to 15 minutes before even offering me water, by the time the waitress came to take my order I was about ready to walk but decided to stick it out so I decided to get sushi and tokiyaki. The sushi was some deep fried monstrosity that looked and tasted like it had been defrosted in a microwave and the tokiyaki was nothing to write home about either. There are many other Japanese cuisine restaurants you could go to in the valley and all of them are better than this place.

Overall, we don't plan on going back. The Ramen was good. 3 small pieces of dry chicken in the Kinya special. Good broth. Noodles cooked well. But would expect more protein for the price.

The godzilla roll tasted good. But for $15, expected a full roll. I'd say the roll was slightly better than what you'd get from grocery store sushi. But I'd still opt for Albertsons sushi for the value.

We went for a lunch. Only 1 other table with people. Took a long time to get roll out. Finished entire Ramen first and still waited more.

I brought my family who flew in to visit us for dinner on the way home. Dinner was delicious. We had different ramen bowls and my wife tried a California roll. The ramen bowls are so big it would probably feed two people so come hungry. Service was attentive and they kept following up with us. I am looking forward to our next visit.

We had an awesome experience! The food was absolutely delicious, rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles that hit the spot. But what really set this visit apart was the service. The staff was genuinely friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. It’s rare to find both amazing food and truly exceptional service, but Kinya delivers on both. We’ll definitely be back!

We recently hosted a party of 22 people here, and I am still amazed at how incredible our experience was! We had only one waitress taking care of our entire group, and she was absolutely outstanding. She was patient, attentive, organized, and handled everything with such a positive attitude. We usually have large family gatherings and often have multiple servers, but we have never experienced service this amazing before. I honestly can’t believe how she managed to take care of all 22 of us so smoothly — she never missed a beat! The food was absolutely delicious, and everything came out wonderful. If we could host all of our family parties here, we definitely would. Keep up the amazing work — you truly made our night special. Thank you so much for making more daughter’s 18th birthday so special. We will definitely be back!!! 🥰

The workers here cant even speak basic English, if you’re gonna run a store or business of any kind in the US you need to be fluent in English.

Fire ramen! The broth is rich and flavorful! They also have multiple types of noodles to accommodate your personal taste. The sushi rolls are pretty good as well, with some traditional and some original options. The only complaint is my drive time to eat here. Would love to see a location open up in Boise!

Doggone it, I wanted so much to add photos to my review, but the rolls were SO incredibly good that we wolfed them down too quickly. We ordered the Godzilla roll (I grabbed a to-go menu on the way out so I could add a menu photo- holy moly, DIVINE), the Tropical roll, Vietnamese coffee (canned but very yummy, not overpoweringly sweet), and the mochi ice cream (mango and matcha I believe). We'll be frequent customers for sure. Excellent service (food was out in like 5 minutes!), and very kind staff. Definitely a must try in Meridian!

I really wanted to love this place because, in many ways, the experience should have been perfect—and in some ways, it was. The ramen itself was solid, especially the tonkotsu, which had tons of flavor, generous toppings, and can be customized by the servers to exactly how you like it. They also had miso soup, which didn’t seem to be advertised anywhere but makes for a fantastic starter instead of the chips, and their sake drinks are excellent—a perfect complement to the meal. Between the food and the service, it’s definitely among the best ramen experiences in the area. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly, constantly checking in and stopping to chat even if we weren’t in their section. That warmth and genuine hospitality made the meal feel especially welcoming.

However, that positive energy kept getting undercut by what we overheard coming from the back room. Multiple times during our visit—and across several of our other visits as well—we could hear management scolding and yelling at staff, often for talking with customers, or about something else, and each time it happened, it completely changed the atmosphere of the restaurant. There was a clear change in the energy when staff returned from the back, even though they made an effort to stay cheerful and welcoming at the tables.

It’s incredibly frustrating to witness, especially because the staff is clearly doing an amazing job creating a friendly, welcoming environment. Huge credit to them for staying professional and kind despite that treatment, because several of the standout servers we remember from past visits don’t appear to be working here anymore. It seems every time we come there’s someone new, and someone else gone. Unfortunately, the way management treats staff makes it hard to fully enjoy the experience, no matter how good the food or service is.

Holy cow, the service here is on another level! It seriously felt like the staff was competing to see who could bring our drinks and food the fastest 😂 They were constantly checking on us, always with big smiles and such positive energy. And the food? Absolutely delicious—everything was spot-on. Highly recommend this place if you want great vibes and amazing service!
