Kona Grill - Boise

We went to Kona Grill for dinner on Christmas (I know, what were we thinking?) but to our surprise we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Our server, Kenna, was so friendly, extremely attentive and took great care of us, while attending to many other tables. We had the avocado egg roll and the Macadamia Nut Chicken. So delicious and we received our food promptly. Thank you for a great experience on a very busy day.

Had dinner on Christmas and was very pleased with our waitress Kenna. She took our order without writing anything down. She took very good care our table. I will personally request her when we come back to eat. The Mac chicken was very good.

Not good

I went there for the first time and rhi was my server. She was very attentive and the food was wonderful. I will definitely be returning and asking for her specifically! Couldn't of had better service and delicious food and drinks!!

Wednesday evening the 25th. Waited almost 2 hours and didn't get food ordered. So we left, because it was going to be quite a bit longer.

As we paid for drinks and left, another couple noticed we called quits. They waited 2 hours for their order and were unhappy with their cold food and said it's a good thing we did.

Our server was nice though.

But, they packed way too many people in to make this an enjoyable dinner. Poor planning. Or even possible in our case.

The food was definitely not worth the money. We waited for 2 hours and still didn’t get our main course and it wasn’t even packed. It took an hour to get appetizers. We paid $21 for 6 potstickers which is more than a Costco bag that I can make myself at home. We ordered the Las Vegas roll that was fried and it only came with 4 tini rolls and instead of the sauce in the nice design it was dumped on the plate.

Waited 3 hours and at the time of this review still have not received my food. The hostesses are rude and not helpful! I am grateful they are open on christmas but.....am I. They should have not been open to to go orders.

Our server was Rhiannon. She was amazing. Very attentive and on top of refills! She was sweet and pleasant and we had a great experience because of her! We were surprised when she told us she just got out of training, we thought she had been there forever! We will be back and will definitely ask for her!

The worst food we’ve ever had. My husband ordered sushi and it’s been sitting for hours before we got the food. The fish had leathery texture already and the wasabi is dried up. I got wagu fried rice and it’s the nastiest fried rice I’ve ever had in my life. The beef is sooo salty and wouldn’t pay $5 for it. It was so bad. It’s not worth our 2 hour wait and the cost.

Kenna was amazing, was very friendly and nice always came around to make sure we are good on drinks and food, food was great and all around amazing the sushi is never disappointing and the Christmas special is great, definitely recommend Kenna as your server here she is great and will make sure your dinner lunch or breakfast is great and a amazing experience all around ❤️ especially on Christmas
