My wife and I have always loved going to Texas Roadhouse, and so when it came time to figure out a place to send my son out with his siblings on his 16th birthday (a first date with his sisters), the choice was clear! They were all so excited, even before dinner, but their excitement grew even more as the night went on, and by the time they got home they couldn't wait to tell me all about their experience. From the server, to the food, to the atmosphere, all reports were fantastic! The manager, Ian, even stopped by personally to be sure everything was prefect, and it was!THANK YOU, TEXAS ROADHOUSE, and especially Ian, for making this evening such a memorable one, for all the right reasons!!!Tim

To loud for my hubby. So we order to go and never disappoints. To go staff is always very friendly and helpful when we use our Veterans meal vouchers that they give for Veterans day.

Great service and reasonably priced for a steakhouse. They dont take reservations but you can check in on line to save some time on the wait list. All of the food was excellent except for the steaks that were overcooked for how we ordered them.

This is our go to date night. Never disappoints and this location never seems too crazy busy like other locations we’ve been to. We recommend getting a reservation online before getting there.

Normally the service and food is excellent. The waitress was more concerned with flirting with the male employees than attending to her patrons. My food was hot when it arrived but I didn't get my fries until I had to ask her to bring them. Instead of getting them, she went and chatted up the men. I asked another waitress for my fries. Finally after asking a 3rd time, they showed up. Unfortunately they arrived at the end of our meal. I had to ask the waitress twice for a refill of my Dr pepper. My mother's food was cold. Hers and mine mashed potatoes tasted a bit weird. For the next two days we both had extremely painful stomach cramps and severe diarrhea. I wish I remembered her name. Simple fact, we'll never go to the meridian location off eagle rd ever again. For the amount of money I had to pay, I wasn't happy is a mild way to put it.

I am a former food server. I know what it takes to be a 20% server. The humans at this location are on average 12 to 15% servers. The management is TRASH.I took my mother and father in law out to dinner. They eat early so we were in the building at 4 on a Sunday. After drinks were delivered, it took over 45 min to get our food. Mind you, the location was not busy when we entered. When the food shows up...my prime rib looked like an angry beaver chewed it off the slab. It was Luke warm and tasted like it was stored under the spider grill. All the food was cold. Our server was so inept that she avoided our table at all cost. She stopped by to inform us that the manager would be right over. Long story...short. NO MANAGER.My mother in law was so upset, she went back on Monday to complain. They gave her a gift certificate...dinner for two UP TO $30. Out ticket was over 100.Lesson learned. We will stick to Darden steak houses.

I've had both good and bad experiences at Texas Roadhouse. Not a regular patron for that reason.I've gotten steaks that were slightly soured.Pork ribs that were very dry.I've gone a couple of times for the ambience and the prices were fair, market value.Service wasn't great but it wasn't horrible.Wish they would offer, different varieties of butter spreads for the complimentary rolls.Cinnamon sugar is good but I don't always want that.A garlic butter or even an herb butter such as oregano as an additional offering would be great.Kid-friendliness: This is a family friendly steakhouse, suitable for family gatherings ,special occasions.

Maybe 3 stars… I loved this place in 6 other states. NOT HERE in MERIDIAN, Idaho!!!I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! This 3 star rating is probably too high for our family experience. Getting on the waitlist from the website was the easiest and most pleasant part of this dinner experience. (2 stars for ease of obtaining a bad experience). Once we were invited in for our dinner they sat us near the restrooms. Granted this is something that cannot be avoided. The problem is that in order to drown out the constant toilet flushing the music is very loud.… the toilet outhouse smell was permeating the area we sat in for our meal. Obnoxiously loud music makes for an irritating experience in general and the bathroom smell was a put off. Now, our server was okay not the friendliest guy. He clearly stated that he, “hated his job.” Not the friendliest or most attentive either. I have worked in food service (various positions) it’s a demanding job, I expect more from any server who works at a well known, above average priced eating place. While money was not the issue, the price paid for this disappointing meal/experience made me feel upset that my father and mother spent my birthday dinner at this Texas Roadhouse location with me and just accepted this poor experience. A roving manager popped up early in our meal. We should have left and told her it was not good so far, but my parents are too kind. I would say we hoped the experience was going to get better, but it did not. It was evident that even at its best… this Texas Roadhouse is a flop. At this point we had not cut into our meat. Our opinions were mixed and I am certain my parents did not want me to embarrass anyone. I let them know that I was very disappointed in the meal and service. I told the roving manager that I would NOT care to be have a birthday song from the servers but ice cream would be nice. Our server must think that you should stop eating your dinner so you can break for immediate ice cream. He was probably unaware that ice cream melts. Yup, It melted into a puddle before I was anywhere near done eating. Pitiful. So, my daughter, who is a meat lover and rack of rib fan was very disturbed by the flavorless, dry, stringy, unseasoned meat under the burnt crusted BBQ sauce (by 6pm rib meat should not be burnt to a crisp). Shame on you Texas Roadhouse! I gave her half of my prime rib so she could eat a half decent dinner. The macaroni was pasty and cold, STEAK FRIES were SOGGY. I had buttered corn and the “butter” had hard nodules on top (cold). The carrots and broccoli were hard and a knife was not sufficient enough to cut them this was served to my mother. Thank God she has teeth to chew and even then she could not finish them. Damn. My mother ordered rice that sat for half a meal under the heat lamps waiting to be brought out, until we reminded our server H. to bring it to her. Drink refills? Only if you get the servers attention. We still tipped him but I wished my dad would have told him something. My prime rib, dad’s New York steak, and my mother’s salmon earned the 3rd star (1 star). The Texas Roadhouse leaves you wishing you went elsewhere. I longed for Olive Garden in the early part of this birthday meal, restaurant Hell. I would have settled for a nasty fast-food burger near the end of this terrible eating experience. They had the audacity to ask if we wanted a box for the steak fries, we ate one or two of, the full plate of vegetables, and ribs that were to dry for human consumption. The lack of good service and nasty side dishes, horrible eating environment was enough to have us pissed off and regretting our selection of this restaurant that we enjoyed so much other states. Also, I think it’s important that you know that they ask you to TIP you after they add the taxes. NAUGHTY NAUGHTY. Taxing on top of taxes is crass. I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Do not waste your wait time for this Texas Roadhouse in Meridian, Idaho.. Go elsewhere. Buyer be ware. (Before we left I told our server I would be reviewing this place and his service as well).
