I initially gave 5 stars because a few years ago it was. We’ve been dedicated fans since the first store opened on Overland. We would drive out of the way to enjoy the amazing food. However, in recent years something has changed. We often have items missing from our order and the food has severely declined. We have tried on multiple occasions to get that old feeling back, but after today’s order we’ve decided to lessen our trips and only go for specific items that they haven’t ruined yet.

Finally was lunch time, did a quick search and this Gyro Shack location popped up. Immediately knew this was the place. There are so few left in the valley, so I was sold on the spot haha
This time I went with The Z, always good, the onions were well caramelized, and the mild sauce was on point.
To Gyro Shack, there are still many of us that are cultured and know exactly what we are getting and absolutely LOVE your restaurants.
Location was clean, staff was fast and kind, as well as running like a well oiled machine.

Every time I visit the Gyro Shack on Linder in Meridian, it somehow manages to outdo itself — and that’s saying something. This place has been my go-to spot for gyros, and for good reason: the food is hands-down the best of any location, full stop. My personal favorite is the spicy bacon avocado gyro with the green spicy sauce — it’s like a little edible miracle — paired with their Greek fries, which honestly deserve their own fan club.
On my most recent visit, I was helped by Victor Junior, and he made the experience even better. He’s got an incredible personality and absolutely outstanding customer service — warm, attentive, and just genuinely pleasant to talk to. People like him are why this location stands out so much.
The vibe here is always fantastic — you can tell the owners care deeply about both their customers and their community, and it radiates through everything: the atmosphere, the staff, and the little details that make you feel welcome.
If you’re thinking about stopping by, stop thinking and just do it. This place isn’t just a gyro shop — it’s a gem.

The food is good as always. However, I was really annoyed that they charged $3 more then the menu stated. When I pointed it out she said the menu must be wrong and she couldn't change it. Then I had to clean my own table before sitting down because they where all pretty dirty. I prefer the location on Emerald.
While ordering, one of the employees suggested a chicken bacon buffalo version that's amazing. They also have a kind of hummus and feta deal on pita bread. Very tasty and definitely a friendly staff.

So I put in a doordash an hour and a half ago and I just got a notification. Chad, it's not getting delivered because this company decided they're not going to make any more orders. After making me wait an hour and a half they sucked at the balloon festival in Boise because they let people wait in line for 20 minutes to let them know that they were out of Euro meet. Nothing about this company is good
