9-8-22 UPDATE: Our last two visits have been REALLY nice. The food is prepared very well (not burnt) and the staff are SUPER. Thanks for the relaxing atmosphere change!! The breakfast burrito this morning was excellent and hubbies omelet was cooked perfect!! Patti was an absolute pleasure!!
Old review: Excellent burger with onion rings. Still stands !!
10-10-24 UPDATE: Still eating at Sunrise BUT the food is not prepared very well when the boys are cooking. We try to go on days when the gals are cooking. We keep hoping someone will give the boys a pep talk, or fire them!!
Beyond terrible service.

This saddens me! I have been going to the Middleton location for years for breakfast. I'm hoping this is a one-off, but I don't think so.
My wife and I came in early so we wouldn't have to beat the crowd. I would say this place was less than half full. It took almost 10 minutes just to get coffee and orange juice. The orange juice was very bitter. We asked if they had some fresh juice and mentioned the problem. She came back with the same tasting juice just for one, not two after another 10 minute wait. After being there 45 minutes with no coffee refill, a young lady asked if we were ready to order. We stated yes and ordered. My wife ordered eggs (over medium), bacon (crispy), hashbrowns, and a pancake. I ordered the Big Biscuit Breakfast (over medium). First, there are many ways to cook an egg. Over easy should be just that with a chance of the yolk and white a little runny. Over medium would be no runny white but slightly runny yolk. Over hard means nothing is runny.
Both our eggs were less than over easy, very runny. Bacon was literally raw (not even warm). Pancake was like rubber. Biscuit and gravy were warm, not hot. The lady came by after we had our meal for about 20 minutes. Asked how everything was, she could see we did eat barely anything. We told her about our issues, she just said ok and walked away.
As prices go up, service is going down and food quality is taking a big hit.
I know you can do better.

The food was good, but it took about 45 minutes to an hour to receive.
The kids menu feels very over priced. It's $10.29. Which makes it about the same to order off the regular menu.
Overall it's a typical local diner, but we would probably not go back because of pricing.

Was very disappointed, we hadn't been out there for a Little while. My husband and I took his sister for brunch, it was not the best I've had.infact rather lousy food. It was close to closing but still enough time to fix the meals with a bit more care. The day is not done until it's time to finally call it a day. Thats what my grandpa use to say. You continue until the bell is rung.
The service was great. Thanks

My family loves going to The Original Sunrise Cafe on weekends. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the staff is always attentive. They have a great selection of breakfast dishes, but their burgers are also delicious!

Went to The Original Sunrise Café for brunch, and it was great. The omelet was packed with fresh ingredients, and the hash browns were perfectly crispy. It’s a cozy spot with a welcoming vibe.

I always love coming here. The staff is so personable it's like going to my moms or my grandmother's for a meal. They are very attentive and often follow up inquiries with Hon or darlin this really makes it feel like home. The food is some of the best comfort food you can find in the valley. The breakfast menu is my favorite it really reminds me of home and how mom used to make it. I can't say enough nice things about this place and the lovely ladies that rush around and make it a worth while experience. 10 out of 10!
