The food was very bad, what I ordered and my son was also bad. Maybe they have good dishes but I didn't like the molcajete sauce tasted like a can and the one on my son's donkey also had excellent service. My 5 stars for the waiters. The food leaves much to be desired

Didn't get any menu items, joined a friend there to grab some alcoholic beverages.
They were well mixed, did thier purpose of making our tongues wag.
Prices are at market value for retail restaurant dining.
The Mexican decor and ambience fit right in

7 Mares was really good. Drink was perfect. Desert Sweetness was fantastic, but the fried butter was cold and stale ?

Took my daughter out to eat here today, the food was ok, ordered the steak and grilled chicken plate with shrimp and side of rice and beans. Salsa seems like it’s from a can and the meat was kinda chewy and the whole plate kinda lacked flavor. I also ordered an horchata for a drink and half way through my drink the waiter brought back a refill with a fly in it and I completely lost my appetite and felt hesitant to drink from the replacement drink even though the waiter said it was a new and clean glass, I questioned the whole meal altogether. I noticed the waiter watching me and probably knew I got grossed out and still had an entire plate left, I only took maybe 4 bite from the plate. When it came time to pay I asked if there was anything they can do to make it right and the owner just agreed to take off the drink from my bill, so from 63 dollars to 52 dollars. Felt like they could have done better especially since I didn’t even eat the food at all and they still charged me. Probably won’t ever eat there again.
I've ate here in the pastand the food was fine. Today it was horrible. Tostida was all lettuce, the meat sauce was so watered down the corn shell was mush. Absolutely no toppings for the tostadano flavor

My two companions and I visited Chapala at 3:00 in the afternoon on a Monday. We were seated quickly.
It took us quite a while to look at all the choices in the extensive menu. It was really difficult to choose.
Once we ordered, it did not take long for our food to arrive.
I had Camarones Chapala: sautéed prawns and onions covered with Monterrey Jack cheese and crispy bacon. Includes guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo. Delicious!
My companions also found their meals delicious.
I have eaten several times at the Chipala in Boise. The food is always good.
