Got the seafood/beef combo. Everything was ice cold like it had been sitting forever before they sent it out. The fish had a weird taste and was the consistency of mush, and the beef was totally dry like beef jerky. If I had known that they just give you straight plain white rice with no seasoning or anything I would have asked for some kind of sauce. Sucks because I had been excited about this place opening.

Coming from a local braddah, lived in Hawaii 28 years and in Idaho 25 years.
We came on opening weekend Friday with 30 minutes to closing, so I’m glad we got our food with no substitutions. Food passes (it’s good). If you are hungry for local food - go to L&L. But if you are looking for real authentic Hawaiian Plate Lunch, you have to make your own or go to Hawaii. Mac Salad- needs flavor; rice- little too dry; cabbage- ok; Teri beef, chicken curry, fried and loco moco was ok; fried mahi needs to cook more; bbq ribs was probably the best. We ordered 3 types of musubi - is good but needs more flavor. Btw you need to request katsu sauce and tartar sauce. Definitely will satisfy the need for local food when not home. We are coming back for second try on Sunday.
(Continued). Came back on Sunday at 1pm. Sunday lunch was just as busy but we actually got seats for five. Lots of people , people standing waiting. Food was better than Friday. I have to say the garlic shrimp was onolicious and the chicken garlic chicken, gotta have it. I still say that the food needs more salt and that’s just how like I like it. Would I go again, absolutely! You gotta go try it. What can I say? Today so much better than Friday (hey, it’s opening weekend so gotta give grace but give honest feedback). I went with friends who also enjoyed and saw lot of locals there too.

The Real Kropacek
Finally L&L here in Idaho!! We ordered 2 bbq mix plates and Katsu plate. Food was great and everything fresh. Wish the bbq beef was thinly sliced and the cabbage should be a little steamed. But this definitely didn’t disappoint! Staff is great and can’t wait to go back. Aloha.

I love L&L and was so excited to see they were coming to Nampa. Happy to say that it is still just as good here as anywhere else. I placed a mobile order and it was ready faster than the estimated time. The only small gripe I have with our order is that the Mac salad needed a little salt. But that was the only con of the whole meal. Do yourself a favor and go get some delicious Hawaiian food! Way better than Mo Bettahs and a much wider food selection
