Tacos El Rey is hands down one of the best taco spots and Mexican food around! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and authentic — you can taste the quality in every bite. The tacos are perfectly seasoned, the meats are tender, and the handmade tortillas take it to another level. Horrible service worst experience I’ve ever had been going here for 10 years . got there at 10 when they open doors were not unlocked tell almost 10:15 we put our order in right away We watched multiple tables get there food and finish it before we got ours asked what was going on they said it was ready we just decided to take it to go because the waitress was rude and Inattentive . Also we decided to leave little did they know my family was eating at another table and they went and talked bad about me for being upset with the horrible service and for me just wanting to take the food to go also my food was just not as good as it used to be place is definitely going down hill

Been going here for yrs, only last couple times they dont seem prepared for the amount of customers coming in. You can be 1st one in the door but they will get everyone's order 1st. Today was a final straw. 1st one in, noticed customers getting served and I hadn't ordered yet. I had to walk up to counter to order. Will stick to Campos on Lonestar!!

Al pastor tacos are delicious! I loved how they put pieces of pineapple in it. And their chicken sopes are 10/10, the sope was fluffy and delicious. They gave us 4 different flavors of salsas which was nice. Will be coming back.
No greeting when opening the door , just unlocks walks away . The menudo was very bland , for the price you pay you would expect freshness and corn tortillas look as if microwaved. I returned the tortilla and asked for fresher ones and they just brought out rewarded microwaved ones . Waitress Never checked on my table , not once.
This is a cozy and authentic Mexican restaurant to enjoy during lunchtime or dinner with friends. Very affordable, and the staff is quick and friendly. I will be going back!

My family and I love this place. It’s probably my personal favorite place to eat in the entire treasure valley. I rave about this place to everyone I know. My brother and I make it a habit to eat here every time he visits. You cannot beat the value here. They have amazing food, even better than other Tacos El Ray locations. I haven’t had a single bad experience there and I’ve been going back there routinely for the past 5 years at least. I love getting the Tacos Al Pastor! Seriously my personal favorite. The chips and salsa are next level too. I don’t know anywhere that serves better salsa. If I could only go to one restaurant for the rest of my life it would be this one. The place always feels lively and the staff are always so genuinely kind. That’s all I can say for now because I’m making my stomach rumble and my mouth water.
