Very friendly, homey place with lots of regulars that the staff greeted by name. Food is really good, portions are good: you can pick 2 eggs or 4 eggs for your omelette, and 2 is a good amount. Cinnamon rolls are amazing, and just the right size.

I was impressed with The Crowned Egg. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. I tried the breakfast burrito, and it was filled with savory ingredients. The overall experience was great, and I would definitely recommend The Crowned Egg to anyone looking for a good breakfast in Gilbert.
Went here for breakfast there were three waitresses on staff. My wife ordered a scramble which she liked, but we finished our meal asked for a box sat for 10 minutes watching our waitress walk past the boxes 7 times. Brought use our check with no box. Asked again she said she would get one. Ended up getting up and going to the register where she was our cashier. My wife again mentioned the box where she replied I’m here by myself when we were watching two other people waiting tables. Didn’t at that point offer again to go get us a box or say sorry or anything. My wife kindly left her $5 tip out of kindness I told her not to 1/2 a meal we paid for uneaten would have made a great lunch. We will never ever go here again.
