Went in at lunch time for the buffet (like 11 AM), place was basically empty. Guy charged us for the dinner price, maybe thinking we wouldn't notice. Guess he didn't expect me to ask for a receipt. Food was unbearably bland, with only a handful of options. Out of all of them, only one was palatable, but still bland. Barely any flavor to anything. The Naan was the exception, since it had a strong flavor of baking soda. The guy working there (who was the same guy who overcharged us) seemed nice enough. I'd say he offered good service, bringing drinks to the table and stuff, if it weren't for the fact that he scammed us with a smile on his face.
Very good food, and service. Definitely plan on going there again
Stopped here for the first time tonight and we were impressed. We tried almost everything at the buffet and liked it all. The butter chicken and curry chicken were my favorites. The fresh garlic Naan was great. It was a quiet atmosphere where we could enjoy our meal and talk without the dim lights and too loud music that seems too common anymore. We'll definitely be back. Oh, and one more thing ALL YOU CAN DRINK MANGO LASSI!! :-)
I seriously tried everything and it was great. I have severe nut and tree nut allergies and this is the first buffet I’ve been to where I could eat everything. I probably had 4 or 5 plates and couldn’t recommend this place enough. The naan is great too!
The food is amazing. The service is amazing. Everything looks well taken care of and inviting. We have also order stuff to pick up and the portions are a lot more than I was expecting. Highly recommend.
Outstanding meal! The items on the buffet are well prepared and incredibly flavorful! The samosas are delicious, the curry is perfectly seasoned, the naan was so good! For me the real stand out was the potato chili. So good and full of flavor. My favorite part of the meal was the the service. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive. So glad we stopped here for a meal! Will definitely eat here again.
The buffet is not overdone by any means; however, the half-dozen dishes offered are very good. The owner is conscious of his patrons and personally served the table bread and other kitchen specialties during or meal. Set your expectations on some home-cooked recipes and you will go away stuffed and happy! We will come back.
Loved all the food. So much flavor. The owner was very generous and polite. My favorite was the butter chicken and rice pudding. Love, love the experience. Definitely coming back
From start to finish, eating at Saffron was a great experience. The ambiance is both warm and inviting. The staff genuinely cares about your experience — this was my first visit, and I received exceptional service. The cuisine was likewise excellent, and I appreciated the variety of selections available as well as the reasonable prices.
Great food, I love the idea of an Indian Buffet so I can try all the different flavors. The owner was incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of during out visit. I especially enjoyed their vegetarian dishes and the garlic naan is delicious! What an eclectic atmosphere with beautiful paintings on the wall and old style music.

Eating at Saffron Indian Restaurant was a great experience. The price was more affordable than other regional buffets and the variety of dishes were plentiful. The staff was exceptional and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious! There is a neverending amount of nan garlic bread, mango Indian drink and samosas. My kids loved it. If your looking for a fun and delicious meal, you can't go wrong with Saffron Indian Restaurant.
Excellent Indian Food and service is top notch. The buffet has amazing choices and great value for money for eat and drinks as much as you want. Behavior of staff and management is very professional and honest. Highly recommend in Pocatello and on way to Yellowstone!
This restaurant was AMAZING. Delicious Indian food and a wide variety. I LOVED their buffet and especially love that the buffet is always open!! The chef even gave us some chai tea and mango lassi. Being new to town, so excited that we found such a gem that we will for sure revisit!
This place has one of the best buffet selections I’ve been to! They even have gulab jamun in the buffet! I believe they do continuous buffet throughout the day and give a discount to ISU students. If you like Indian food, check out this place!
I went for lunch and I think it was worth the money. The Indian food was very good and well-seasoned. They kept our table well-stocked with garlic naan bread. I highly recommend the samosas! Great atmosphere and Frank Sinatra was playing which was kind of cool! There wasn’t really any Chinese food and I think they could improve the salad bar and dessert options.
