The Yellowstone Restaurant

By far one of the best places I've been to, had a live jazz band, performing while we had dinner ribeye stake with all the trimmings, the house salad was a little bland but overall everything was excellent!!! Will definitely return next time we make it down this way!!

The ambiance is stellar. We arrived at Happy hour. We had a Rose, Bloody Mary and a Whiskey Sour. The drinks were phenomenal, matter of fact the Whiskey Sour is one of the best I ever had! We ordered Spinach Dip and Spicey shrimp for appetizers and split a Fish and Chips.
Yellowstone Restaurant is a hidden gem. We will definitely be back when we are in the Bannock area!

What a delightful little spot in Pocatello!! The food is delicious and the service even better! Our waiter Eric was our server and he was extremely polite, attentive, and made our experience wonderful! We will be back soon!

The yellowstone embodies what it means to be to be pocatello, great staff that makes you feel like family. The bison meatloaf is by far the best meal in town

The steak fillet was amazing, I paired it with the shrimp that was done perfect. My wife got the Dijon glaze chicken, it was also amazing. Our waiter Gibril was fantastic and deserves a raise. Cannot wait to come back and try something else!

Ordered a special. Ate two bites. Bison steak tasted a little like fish and had plenty of time to taste it as it was the toughest cut ever. This was my third visit. First visit had poor service but good food. Second visit had good food and service. When seven people at a table order the same dish and refuse to eat it, a server should ask why. That did not happen. Don't plan on a fourth visit and would not reccomend.

The food was very good, and certainly unique. However, it wasn't better than a few other local steak houses. What you're really paying for is the service (Excellent!) and atmosphere. While the atmosphere is generally as unique as the food, I had one negative that probably isn't there from March thru October: It was cold. We were seated by a window, which didn't help, but my wife said the bathroom was cold, too. Still, it was beautiful and cozy (very few table compared to a steak house), and, as I said, the service was excellent.

This was such a treat for our family. The server, Eric, was delightful and attentive. The flavors of the food on the dishes we ordered was on point. Our children had mocktails that were beautiful and tasty. The cocktails were made with expert detail. I appreciate this high end dining experience for this town. A gem! Spinach Artichoke dip was rich, creamy and delicious. The Yellowstone Filet was cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes with just the right amount of flavor. Highly recommended!

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent dining experience at The Yellowstone restaurant, which was my third visit. Despite the owner, Jennifer, offering me a $100 gift card and inviting me to give the restaurant another chance after my previous poor experience, my latest visit was equally underwhelming. Upon arrival, I requested to speak with Jennifer, as she had asked me to do so, but was informed that she was not present. We were seated promptly, but had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for water and menus. My wife's water glass had lipstick on the rim, which was not hers. We then placed our order, which included Ahi tuna as an appetizer, three-cheese capavtti with chicken and a house salad with ranch for my wife, and a filet medium rare with a Caesar salad for myself. However, our food arrived all at once, 15 minutes later. My wife's meal was flavorless, while my steak, although cooked perfectly, lacked flavor. The Ahi tuna was the only exception, as it was delicious. After finishing our meal, I called to speak with a manager, to express my concerns. Unfortunately, I overheard Calvin using vulgar language and making derogatory comments about me before passing the phone to Kate, the manager. Kate apologized profusely and confirmed that she was not informed of our visit or requested to speak with us at our table. Although our server, Sophie, was pleasant, the poor service and appalling behavior from Calvin overshadowed her efforts. I would like to thank Jennifer for the gift card and the invitation to return, but unfortunately, my third visit to The Yellowstone restaurant ended in disappointment once again
UPDATE...After posting this review, I began to examine the reviews of the Yellowstone Restaurant. It appears to me that if you post a negative review, the owner, Rory, seems to go out of his way to attribute or assign any errors to the guest. It seems he takes no accountability whatsoever. There are not many fine dining establishments here in Pocatello, and the Yellowstone, although it seems to think it is one of them, definitely falls short of being one.

I have tried now for the third time for this restaurant to redeem themselves. Well 100% failed to do so. I got three cheese pasta with chicken. Absolutely NO favor at all. It takes 20 minutes to get water and menus. Staff was rude. All around worst experience I have had there. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. Call the restaurant and the person answering the phone by the name of Calvin calls my husband a vulgar name... The worst restaurant ever.

My mother and I stopped in to share a burger and a salad, and we each enjoyed a cocktail. The food was amazing, and our waitress, Hannah, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great meal paired with a welcoming atmosphere.
