Tokyo Belly Sushi Pocatello

If I could give zero stars - I would. We came in tonight to place a to go order and enjoy some drinks while we waited for the order. All seemed well at first until we had been sitting for 30 minutes and realized no sushi chef was behind the counter.

There were children running around the back and crying, and it seemed like the chefs or people in charge were handling kids in the back. They finally came out and started making our food 40mins in. The host told us “5 more minutes at the MOST” which was actually another 20 mins.

It all seemed like these owners/people don’t care about their business or the customers they serve. Not to mention - when we got the food - it was TERRIBLE. See the pictures for the “SUSHI” we waited 50 minutes for.

Fred Meyer down the road is better - don’t waste your time! YUCK.

I normally love Tokyo Belly, but today they had one employee on the floor. This is unacceptable for a Friday night. One person to host, serve, and run food. I placed an online to go order and had to wait 45 minutes after the time I was told my order would be ready. Several people walked out for not being served after being sat. The owners need to do better!

Great food! Great atmosphere. Drex who took my order was delightful. Helped me pick out some great rolls. Great conversation waiting for my rolls. Can’t wait to come back.

I literally gagged when I was trying to eat the food. The fish is really bad. I would not recommend

It was super good! By the look of it, I was kind of a little hesitant but the food greatly exceeded expectation. It was extremely delicious! I would highly recommend the Yellow Submarine roll. That is definitely something I will keep coming back for.

A hidden gem in pocatello. The sushi is top quality, and the staff is friendly and charming. If you want top grade sushi, this might be the best place to get it in eastern Idaho. (The tuna lover roll is a masterpiece, I can't go in without ordering at least one)

Service here is the worse, They are super slow, while I was there I witness them mess up orders 3 times and even saw a customer ask point at an items and ask what it was and the waiter said “sorry I don’t know” he had even asked the cook. How do they not know what’s in their menu? This sucks because the food is delicious… but not worth the quality of service

New owners have taken it down hill. The food used to be AMAZING and a very fair price. Now its just not.

This place used to be awesome. Then they got new owners? Or new management? Whatever the change was it was for the worse. The prices went up and the food is no longer worth it. Very sad.

We've been here a couple times and decent service and ok sushi. But today I have to go with a 1 star would be 0 if I could. Ordered food, had our salad, got our apps edamame and tempura veg and shrimp. About three edamame in, I was pushing the beans out with my hands when he split open and there was a mil worm in the pod and partially in the beam. Needless to say that made us question all of there good quality, cleanliness and everything else. We pulled our waitress showed her and left. This is probably the most disgusting experience I have had anywhere.

Price is comparably high for the quality of the food. I had better miso soup than this in most of the restaurants.
