Fu-Ki Japanese Steakhouse Reviews
I hadn't eaten here in at least 8 years... We went for my Birthday dinner and I was sadly disappointed :( the service was horrible! the food was OK. Not like it used to be
It really sucks when you love a place and end up just getting treated like crap and never want to go back. Not a Karen at all but I do have basic expectations for service. We got there and waited in a mostly empty lobby for 10 minutes before ordering drinks for myself my wife and our two kids (huge party I know ). Now I also recognize they might have been busy but I could literally see both waitresses (2 for 5 tables ) standing by the front doing nothing. Ordered drinks and said...read full review

Fu-Ki Japanese Steakhouse offers a mixed experience centered on teppan hibachi dinners and sushi. The hibachi side is noted for being lively and fun, with chefs putting on great shows full of special tricks that leave children in awe. The hibachi food receives consistent praise, with filet cooked to perfection, tender scallops and shrimp, and well-seasoned fried rice full of flavor. The Yum Yum sauce is a favorite. The atmosphere on this side is easier for conversation than some competitors, even when busy, and the restaurant is generally clean with easy parking.
However, experiences vary significantly, particularly regarding service and the non-hibachi dining area. Service is frequently described as inattentive and rude, with servers forgetting drinks and refills, not clearing empty dishes, and forcing guests to ask repeatedly for assistance. On the sushi side, the rolls can feel very same-y, often relying on similar ingredients like eel sauce. The aesthetic in this section is viewed as somewhat dated and dingy, with some tables showing wear. While many find the food excellent—including sushi rolls and mixed fried rice—the inconsistent and often poor service leaves a strong negative impression for some guests, overshadowing the meal. Some note issues with automatically added gratuity. Ultimately, it is a place where the entertaining hibachi dinner with great food shines, but service problems and a tired sushi section lead to uneven visits.
