The service was great. My food was great other than the egg flower soup. It's my favorite, so I've eaten it a lot. I was really sad when I tasted it and couldn't taste anything. Other than that it was a good

Excellent staff! The food is very delicious. I have had Chinese food in San Francisco, but NO RESTAURANT CAN COMPARE to New Star Restaurant.The owner is very particular about how often he changes the oil. This has been an eye opening after understanding the color of the food I was served here. I asked why my fried rice was not brown and did not taste greasy? Very average Chinese restaurant. That being said, very high prices for a la carte items. Two egg rolls for $7.50 and the same price for egg drop soup which most Chinese restaurants include with your meal. Lunch specials didn't include much food. Slow service because one person was handling the counter, the tables, and busing.
