We ordered and got drinks which went really well. My whole family 3 out of 4 of us were served their burgers. I sat there the entire time watching them all eat while my pizza sat on the counter for a very long time and no one checked on us. The waitress finally came over with extra plates getting ready for my pizza. I ended up asking for it to go because everyone else was finished eating. I took a piece in the truck and it was soooo cold. Not impressed for a first impression at all.

Ok, I was not prepared to be impressed by the food, this being Sandpoint after all, but oh my GOSH was I pleasantly surprised. The Wanachee pizza was amazing! Perfect thin crispy crust, great flavor. Glad to have this place in Sandpoint!

Loved the food and the atmosphere! Very cozy. Ordered the Margherita Pizza, spicy Hawaiian pizza (we removed the serano peppers so it wasn't spicy :P), and the kids cheese burger. Everything tasted phenomenal, but I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the tomatoes on the Margherita, but that is personal preference (my mom loved them). We could see them making the pizza a little bit so that was cool. I loved the atmosphere there was an awesome chalk mural on the wall behind us of Sandpoint that we all loved! 10/10 wpuld come here again!

I was sad/mad to see Panhandler pies go. Mentally wrote this place off. Came in out of necessity. They were awesome. Good food. Bonkers value on the kids menu. Everyone was cool. Give it a try. Pub food at a good price.

Upbeat feeling the minute you walk in. We had a really nice lunch. We ordered the garlic bread which in reality came and looked like a pizza. It was not your ordinary cheese bread and came with 2 dipping sauces. I chose the cobb salad again not your run of the mill cobb salad, it came on a bed of mixed greens , bacon, avacado had a cayenne blue cheese dressing and topped with a fried egg. Very different and a pleasant change. We also had the Jamaican Jerk chicken outstanding. The flavor was so good and not overpowering. It came with coconut rice & black beans but the hit of the dish for me was the fried plantains ! They were soft, sweet and had a crisp outer surface..... to die for .

Drove into Sandpoint with no plan for lunch but this quickly caught our eyes! We sat down and looked at the menu, and ordered at the register. The staff was polite and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean and had good vibes. We ordered the chicken sandwich and the fish tacos. Both were amazing!

It’s hard to see change. The old Panhandler Pies has been replaced with a modern styled self-serve restaurant that lacks all the charm and quality food the previous restaurant championed. Having had multiple dishes, I’ve been disappointed by the flavor of each plate so far. But though pizza places are popping up all over town, this one has a dang good pizza. The pork chop was a hefty portion and has an overwhelming flavor of salt. The sauce is the only thing that saves it. Wherever they are sourcing this cut of meat from, it’s missing the quality I would expect. The savory burger is no different than the children’s cheese burger in size. Change the cheese, add some savory sauces and greens, charge $10 more, and there you have it. A general run of the mill $18 burger that doesn’t surprise. The best thing going for this establishment is their pizza. It’s great for kids, since a cheese pizza for $8 is the same size as any other pizza for the adults.I know they didn’t intend for the pizza to be a hit like it is, but I’m hoping they are able to focus on changes with their menu to bring the quality of food up.It’s not my nature to pick apart things like this, but I really had high hopes for this new establishment and the facelift it received. I wish them all the best, but sub-par food topped with savory sauces doesn’t equate to a quality dining experience for me. I wish the group who owns this and other restaurants in town all the best and apologize for the negative review, but if I have to be honest as a Sandpoint native, this feels exactly in line with all the other changes Sandpoint is experiencing with an influx of new influences.

This was our first time at Savory Neighborhood Grill and it was fantastic! The poutine with short rib gravy and the Cacio e Pepe pizza were delicious! The atmosphere was inviting and the staff were friendly. Thanks for the great afternoon!

To be honest I wasn't real impressed. Not much of anything that sounded good to my pallett. Grandsons cheese pizza was good. They let me have a piece on the drive home. My daughter had what they called a cheese steak. Onions, peppers, sliced Italian sausage, pepperoni, melted cheese, and ranch dressing. Not my version of a cheese steak but to each their own. I guess. I had the tomahawk chop. Very thick and raw in the middle. Veggies were very crunchy but the potatoes were done. Nothing on anything no butter no sauces. Not offered anything either. Definitely made me wish for Panhandler Pies again.

So they messed up on the Salad twice for my fiancé. They tried making it right both times. So far that’s the only bad thing. Ya it’s self serve, eh it’s a nice take on a restaurant. Is it for everyone no. But it’s fresh, clean and quality food. You are 100% not questioning what is in your meal like you would with McDonald’s. Price, let’s face it you sped 15$ at McDonald’s for a meal and you’re spending 18$ here for a burger. The difference, well there is no difference. This is a burger and McDonald’s is an interpretation manufacturer burger. Burp is all I have to say.
