Growing up and working in East Los Angeles, I know authentic Mexican food when I taste it. This is the Best Authentic Mexican food I've had in Idaho. Carne Asada street tacos are delicious! Definitely give them a look! Staff is very friendly and yes, they also speak English in case you might feel intimidated from going in.

The restaurant/store has very authentic Hispanic feel. The food is very good but a little more on the high end. I got the carne asada which was very delicious (I was also very hungry) but it did have a fair bit of fat on it which made it difficult to chew.The employees are extremely wonderful and love to help you find whatever you need. Will definitely go back.

In all of the previous times that I have gone to this store, the service and food was outstanding. Recently I went on the weekend and stood at the counter for a considerable time waiting for the waitress to take my take my order. After no response the front cashier called for the inexperienced person in the back to come out and take my order. As she came to the front, she bypassed me and went to another customer who had just come in and started to take her order instead of asking who was first. I politely left as this was totally inappropriate. Train your personnel correctly or you will loose business. Thanks to the cashier for at least trying.

El Chuy Market has an almost surprisingly great selection of comestibles, with lots of fresh produce, an in-store butcher, and lots of your favorite sauces, canned goods, dry goods, and drinks. Their staff is very friendly and patient with mediocre Spanish. I haven't tried it but they have an in-store restaurant, it's on my list to try soon. Best of all, they are open on Sunday, so you might find something you need when the other guys are closed. That's how I discovered them, but I'll be back!

This isn't just a store, it's a restaurant too and it's amazing! They sell the best tacos, burritos, and quesadillas EVER. I've had a lot of Mexican food here in Eastern Idaho and this place by far is the best. Eat here and you won't regret it.

Great lil Mexican restaurant here in Shelley! We had the spicy pork & beef tacos. And chips & salsa. Warning the salsa is pretty hot. But tasty. Give it a try you won't be disappointed!!
