The restaurant/store has very authentic Hispanic feel. The food is very good but a little more on the high end. I got the carne asada which was very delicious (I was also very hungry) but it did have a fair bit of fat on it which made it difficult to chew.The employees are extremely wonderful and love to help you find whatever you need. Will definitely go back.
El Chuy Market has an almost surprisingly great selection of comestibles, with lots of fresh produce, an in-store butcher, and lots of your favorite sauces, canned goods, dry goods, and drinks. Their staff is very friendly and patient with mediocre Spanish. I haven't tried it but they have an in-store restaurant, it's on my list to try soon. Growing up and working in East Los Angeles, I know authentic Mexican food when I taste it. This is the Best Authentic Mexican food I've had in Idaho. Carne Asada street tacos are delicious! Definitely give them a look! Staff is very friendly and yes, they also speak English in case you might feel intimidated from going in.
