My first time eating here and was pleasantly surprised. Food was tasty and servers informative and helpful. The place was clean and food hot and fresh. You are able to watch them prepare your order according to your preferences. I really liked that. We will be back.

Cafe Rio has always served some of the best fast food in the area. I would definitely recommend having a quesadilla from them if you haven't had one. The salads are great as well.

Ordered multiple bowls. The amount of meat that is put in the bowl should be criminal. 5 strips of steak for an extra charge is ridiculous. Do better if you want people to return.

This Café Rio in Star consistently delivers excellent food and service. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and prepared quickly. Chad provides outstanding customer service, He is attentive, professional, and ensures each visit is a positive experience. I highly recommend this location!

This place has some of the best tacos I've ever had. They make the tortillas fresh in front of you. On taco Tuesday they are only $2.50!

Their chips and queso are also excellent!

We want to like this place bc it’s so close, but 3 times in a row they have given us stale chips. I absolutely love the queso, it’s great but the chips are a big part of it and they seem to mix the old chips with the new so about 50% have been stale all 3 times!!

Crunchy uncooked rice, enchilada sauce from a can, candy sugar chicken, flavorless beans, horrible queso, quesadillas we can make better at home. 6 of us and no one had a good meal.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never been so repulsed by meat in my life. The lack of correct preparation and cooking of this food is insane. Save yourself the money and the stomach ache go anywhere else.

I usually go here for a long wait and good food. This time I had a very short wait for very bad food!

The steak in my bowl was completely hard. Bad quality beef jerky would be comparable.

After making the drive there and back I was very disappointed to find my food so lacking.

Seriously so hot in this restaurant. Turn your ac on in the summer for your paying customers and sake of your employees

This is my first visit to this location and only my second visit to a Cafe Rio. This store is very close to my home in Star. My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday for lunch before heading to church. I would rate them 3.5 stars.

One of the problems, and it may be ongoing because my wife experienced it when she came here last, is that the AC does not seem to work well. It is uncomfortably warm, so much so that we opted to sit on the patio, which thankfully had a nice breeze and was in the shade.

The service was good enough. I was helped by a young woman that served me well, except she did not seem to hear me well, and I am normally known for a loud voice, though it is very low. She kept missing what I was saying and I ended up feeling like I was practically yelling at her. I told her that my wife wanted a drink but I wanted water, but she charged us for two drinks.

I had a Fire Chicken bowl with black beans, rice, cheese, guacamole, and salsa. The chicken was a little chewy but generally flavorful. My wife had the steak taco meal with rice and beans. They don't seem to offer corn tortillas which I would prefer, but her steak was very tender and flavorful. I would probably get that next time.

All in all, this Cafe Rio has good food and service but they need to get their AC fixed to make it comfortable for their customers. I doubt I'll dine in again; we'll just do takeout in the future.
