Went in to the location in Star, (we were actually headed to McDonald’s) decided to go to dickeys instead, sit down have a beer, enjoy a meal. As we entered we were welcomed.. we ordered our food (for here) asked if we wanted a drink. My husband and I both stated we were going to order a beer. The young lady working stated that “the owner is out back and neither of us here are old enough to serve” totally understandable.. she then stated that she would go see if he could pour the beer. As she brought us our food I then asked if we were able to get a beer, we were informed the owner was “too busy and can’t pour the beer”… needless to say.. this is why the dickeys in Star is always empty.. as a food service manager myself… it would have taken 1 minute to pour 2 beers.. will not be returning.

A complete rip-off. That’s all I can say, I feel I was overcharged. I paid for two plates $25 each and they were served miserably. A fee slices of brisket and maybe half a sausage.
This is my first and last time I order from this place. Never again!

Stopped to eat lunch on our way back out of Boise (from a doctor appointment) headed home to Weiser. There are enough places to get bad food at, but this topped my experiences. I never leave bad reviews and felt this one was necessary. Paid with $100 for a $30+ total, they didn't have enough change on site for this, how? I could have overlooked that because lord knows running a business is just hard some days and I did finally get my change after some employees pooled what they had in personal money. But then we received our chopped Brisket potatoes, the potatoes were so hard still that I broke a fork trying to break up the inside, the employee didn't seem interested in caring. Tried to cut it with a plastic knife, yep no go on that too. Decided to just eat the toppings and call it a day, the brisket was cold. The whole experience was disappointing.

Received wrong items. Poor quality turkey and fries. Poor communication from employees.
I ordered a 15 piece boneless chicken wing basket…. While waiting at the take out window I looked inside and saw what could only be described as unsanitary conditions… what I got was a basket of charred chunks of something… burnt on the outside… dry and description-less on the inside… no idea what was there except for the charred remains of some French fries (I did not order fry’s)… overall a worthlessness experience other than to say I will wait patiently for this place to go out of business so Star can get another franchise in the same spot that has pride and an identity…

This was the best Dickeys experience we have ever had (Star, Idaho 8/21/25 @ 8:15pm). Staff was amazing, food was spot on, and the place was spotless. Please support this location, we need to keep them in business
