I am so impressed with this place every time I go in. These guys work their tails off. Even though they are sooooooo busy whenever I’ve gone in, they put a smile on their faces and are so so nice. Sometimes it takes a while to order and get your food but it’s definitely worth it. My order is always perfect and the place is clean. Thank you staff at Jersey Mikes in Star. This location is more interested in being an online order kitchen. Walk up service while friendly is not prioritized. Every time I come by they are more concerned with all the to go and catering orders they receive. They are very understaffed and I feel sorry for them. If they had better priorities and better staffing then their would be zero issues.

A co-worker order me a sandwich that was delicious, the folllowing trip I made today the gentleman addressed me right when I went in, took my order while making someone else's sandwich. Evidently I'm not the only person to notice the lack of care from this location. They must partner with the employees from the Mountain Mikes next door, cause all of them suck too. This was a door dash order and the poor driver had to wait for 45 min. to pick up. This location has been a disaster since they opened. Make some changes or don't expect business from the locals.

Me and my family ordered 3 sandwiches for take out online at 6 PM on a Friday. Then we waited the allotted time before driving to the store. When we got to the store there was a big line and none of the online orders had been made. We got in line and when we go to the front, the counter teller told us they didn’t have our order which we had prepaid for online. He was very rude and snappy due to the high demand and said to order or leave. We left. Also to note, there were multiple other people waiting for their online orders. It’s very frustrating to have the option of online orders and the store is incapable of following through and handling the demand. Overall a horrible experience and we likely won’t be going back anytime soon.

PAY ATTENTION, STAR! Fake positive reviews are extremely easy to spot and if a business is engaging in such fraudulent activities then you know they are trying to cover up for bad service and/or bad food. The wilted lettuce photo and dirty prep counter speaks volumes and is a danger for food poisoning. Yes, you can get food poisoning from lettuce and dirty counters! I worked in the food industry where we served salads and if our lettuce, produce, or ANYTHING was not fresh, then we would run to Albertsons and get fresh items until the next delivery from the supplier. It’s literally a covered business expense. They aren’t stuck serving food if it’s turning bad just because they get it from a supplier, they are more than capable of replacing spoiled food by going to the local stores and purchasing safe and fresh items. There is ZERO excuse to serve food like that which poses a danger to the health of the community when you can take 2 minutes to go to the store next door. The manager should be making a trip to the store if the employees can’t for some reason and even if a store manager isn’t there, the employees should know better than to serve food like that. If they are too young and ignorant to know better, have a supervisor there at all times that can use good judgement especially when you are first opening a store! This is your time to shine not drop the ball due to laziness or ignorance.
Other states require anyone working in the food and drink industry to get a “food handler license.” Idaho really needs to implement that policy because it requires anyone who is going to be working in these types of businesses to learn safe food and drink prep, storage, and handling protocols. Heck, even when I worked in the food industry, new hires would at least have to undergo “orientation” and watch videos on safe food handling and good customer service.
It sucks that Star can’t get any good restaurants or fast food to come to our little town. I’d take a Doug’s Burger Den (R.I.P.) over any of these new yucky places they are bringing in.

Delete your fake positive reviews, train and supervise your staff, follow safe food handling, and only hire teachable, polite, clean individuals who are capable of learning and providing excellent service at all times.
