Awesome Upgrades: The food we choose was delicious.. Halibut and Hot Rock....how fun and great presentation. Our waiter was beyond the Best! Many thanks to Travis who took lots of time to visit with us (even though we are older) about the restaurant change, the current owners, the staff, the menu and just everything. What a nice evening. Also Mark West Pinot is a great choice! Anxious to return...probably for lunch and breakfast too!

This was our first visit to Rare Steakhouse since previous owner of the Rustic Table.
The Mushroom Burger I ordered was very greasy, it had very little mushrooms, very little grilled onions and was over cooked. I prefer a bun instead of the greasy grilled bread they used. I do not recommend the Burgers here.
My wife ordered a 1/2 sandwich plate that includes one side order and was brought a whole sandwich. Then they also charged $2.00 for the side order. No discount at all for taking the wrong order.
We paid $2.00 extra for each sweet potato fries and we both received a 1/2 an order compared to amount of fries you would get for an order of regular fries.
Waitress was friendly but did not tell us that there was an extra charge for Sweet potato fries.
Our bill ended up being $12 more that is should have been.
Total bill for lunch with tip was $85 for… 2- half sandwiches. 1 whole sandwich 1 mushroom burger 1- Diet Coke.

We were seated after about 5 min waiting for a host at the front desk. After we were seated we were asked if we needed a highchair and we said yes. No one ever came back. No highchair, no one to greet us, water, nothing. After 15 minutes we decided to leave. Especially after seeing people get water and greeted after being seated right away way after us. We wont be back unfortunately. We had a similar experience when we gave it a go the first time. Disappointed :(

You have to go. It is family run and you definately feel it. They take pride in their sevice and food. Our food was cooked to perfection. We will definatley be back!

We are new to Idaho and had high hopes for this place. Atmosphere is great, waitress was lovely. I ordered a Dutch pancake which the waitress said took 20 minutes but we definitely waited at least 30 to 40 minutes for our food. My husband’s food was cold, mine was lukewarm. I’m not sure what is going on in the kitchen. Sounds like from reading other reviews the cooks are horrible! No skills at all. I was shocked the manager didn’t come out and speak to us. One and done for us.

Food was mediocre at best for the price that it cost I expected better quality and bigger portions. Needless say I wont be going back. The waitress didnt even stop at our table to ask of we would like refills on drinks or anything. What I ordered was completely over cooked the fries could have been cooked a little longer but honestly they were highlight of the dinner. My daughter said the hamburger was dry which is really sad.

Yesterday was my first visit to RARE STEAKHOUSE. I went there for breakfast with a few friends. Our dinning experiance was amazing! The food was delicious, fresh and the service was excellent. Austin was our waiter, and he was fabulous. I'll be going back on a regular basis and I would highly reccomend, RARE STEAKHOUSE to all my friends and family.
