The Sun Valley website for A La Mode says it is closed for the season. The Yelp site here says it is open limited hours on Fri, Sat, and Sun. What is going on Sun Valley? Summer evenings used to be so fun at the village. Even the phone number doesn't give you any information but rather a general message to leave a message. We own in Sun Valley proper and it just isn't the same anymore here. Limited hours, limited service, limited swim passes (even when we paid for the extra passes). And don't come when the billionaire club a la "Allen & Co" is in town! Kind of sad that the week after they leave and things "open up" they are not opened up. Do the Holdings no longer own Sun Valley?

A “scoop” of ice cream at this shop equates to about 1.5 Tablespoons. Couldn’t even see any ice cream over the top of the waffle cone. I half smiled when the young girl handed me my cone and the thought of “you have got to be kidding me” ran through my head. I wanted to say something but the look on the girl’s face read, “don’t even ask, the old lady working the cash register won’t let me give you more than this.” So I took my waffle cone with a hint of huckleberry ice cream hidden in it’s inner depths and walked out into the cool mountain air. Maybe they were running low on ice cream or maybe this was a sign that I should consider losing a few pounds. If you are looking for a plain waffle cone, go for it, visit this shop. If you are craving some ice cream, unfortunately, I can’t recommend this shop.

They have finally reopened are are a great spot to have at the resort. When we were there they were still working through some reopening bumps, but I'm glad they're back. Recommend the huckleberry ice cream, perhaps with a chocolate topping.

They marked that they were open and we drove out 45 min and they were not. They should figure out their hours and notify their potential customers. Not happy.

Fantastic spot for a hot beverage on a very cold afternoon. Service was excellent and man, the Polar Bear white chocolate drink was amazing.

Portion size was generous and the waffle cone was one of the best I've had. Service was fine. I think it is worth the money.
Good tastee Ice Cream.. Amazing personal..
