Ground round always has great looking plates and usually sizeable portions for each. It's part bar so you can get some drinks or sit in front of the kitchen area, or find a table to seat yourself or the group. There's even a pool table if you feel like playing a game. Sometimes some music to play also. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the type of crowd that gathers here, but they come for a reason. Food is pretty good.
This is my #1 home for comfort food, locals entertainment and relaxed atmosphere. Also, great food, the best price on beer anywhere! It can fill up quick for sports games and friday/Saturday nights. Parking is limited.
I ordered the bacon jalapeño burger and it was excellent. I'd definitely order that again. One of my family ordered the chicken tenders. They were ginormous, flat, and breaded all around. Perhaps slightly dry, easily solved with any of the various dipping sauces. Another family member ordered the finger steaks. They were excellent—tender and flavorful. The fries all around were good, but perhaps not the top fries we've all had. Definitely undersalted, which was easy...
