If I could give these guys 10 stars I would! We drove from Spokane to here for dinner last night! When I say this was probably one of the best meals I’ve had in ages I speak the truth! I had the Pesto Tortellini I ate every single last bite. My partner had the Osso Buco and there was no leftovers on his plate either. We ordered the clams for our appetizer and again…. Just absolutely delicious. We took some desert to go (3) we had to try everything right ;)
Our server was amazing, so attentive and very nice!
Can’t wait to go back!
P.S. I hope I see my salad joke on the wall next time 😁

Very cute place, nicely done in a charming vintage building. The blackboard art is interesting & impressive. The kitchen flourescent lights glare into the dining room a bit... blocking this glare would make the dining room atmosphere a bit more pleasant. The food was generally good. Steamed clams were tasty, as was the Caesar salad. The lasagna was good. The chicken marsala was different... I'm used to chicken & mushrooms in a rich, savory sauce made with Marsala wine. This dish was chicken with mushrooms & pasta (noodles), but no sauce. There was a very thin, watery broth that did have Marsala wine flavor, but the texture & flavor was far from a rich sauce. Our table was a bit small for the 2 of us with the starter (clams & garlic bread), salads, drinks & entrees. Our server was fabulous... friendly, personable, fast & attentive, even though she had 2 large parties & other tables to attend to. Overall, we felt they delivered a nice experience & meal, especially for a small town restaurant. We will visit again next time we are in Wallace.

Who would have thought that a little town like Wallace could attract such an outstanding chef. I knew as soon as I read the menu that this was going to be a different experience. The food was nothing less than outstanding. The service was excellent; the server was friendly and attentive. The chef accommodated my wife’s dietary requirements with no problem. We highly recommend the Blackboard. We can’t wait to come back and eat here again.

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. This place is everything you want when you go out for a nice dinner. The owner and our server were both kind and engaging. We even tried the Escargot for the first time. It was really good and not at all the way I expected it to be. We also had the lasagna, chicken piccata, shrimp scampi, lobster and artichoke spread, and Ceasar salads. The wine was wonderful. Everyone was so happy and we had a great time together. I highly recommend this restaurant. We'll be back, totally worth the drive! We can't wait to visit again.

Went for dinner and the service was excellent. The menu is extensive and I had a hard time choosing. I wanted it all. We started with escargot and it was very good. I chose Pacific cod for my entree. It was served with mash potatoes and a lot of capers. The cod was delicious, flavorful and cooked to perfection. My friend had soup, potato and rosemary, and the caprese salad. Both were delicious. They were generous with the fresh mozzarella.👍 I will definitely eat here again if I make it back to Wallace.
