I'm from Central Illinois but do quite a bit of traveling and have been searching for the type of birria I have eaten in both Mexico and on the west coast. Every place before has left me wanting, searching for the angel that is true birria and consume. This place totally delivered. The meat was so incredible tender, the onions adding a bit of crunch, and the consume was not only full flavor (and the perfect level of heat) but had that distinct mouthfeel I've been looking for.If you're looking for great authentic Mexican food you have got to try this place. I seriously don't remember the last time something was so good I was compelled to leave a review.

Today I wanted to pamper myself, I went to eat at Sabor de mi Tierra and this is what I found: warm welcome, delicious sauce with a soup to whet your appetite, delicious quesabirrias and an incredible prepared mineral water. Super attentive with the service, the place was full, but everything flowed very efficiently. Congratulations and see you soon there! I threaten to return .
Great service, big portions, and hand made tortillas. The chips were a bit stale but the salsa was good. Drink servings are generous too. My steak plate was HUGE. It was well prepared and had veggies, fries, rice, beans and guac. Not a big fan of the beans which seemed very salty, or the rice that was a bit dry but overall I'm happy with my meal.

Came here yesterday with my boyfriend and we loved it! We got seated right away. The food was amazing. Drinks were also good and great prices. The workers were super friendly made us feel so comfortable and just gave us a homey vibe!

My expectations messed it up for me. I saw a sign that said best Mexican Food in the city. Afterwards I questioned that sign. I love Mexican food, but I think I like the Americanized version better than authentic. No queso, no chimichangas , and the rice and beans just didn’t do it for me. I love Birria but the birria dipping sauce was to watery. As far as the actual restaurant it was nice and quiet, we sat outside and the patio was dope. The artwork, the flowers, and the fire pit was all on point. My wife was in town working and I tagged along for the trip. She was told that place was the best in the city, there was sign that said the same, now I’m questioning if anyone in this city has ever had great Mexican food.Parking: Plenty of parking on a Tuesday evening. There was only two other sets of guest besides us, so maybe that’s another sign that they aren’t the best. A Mexican spot down the street had a parking lot full of cars??♂️

Saw this placed advertised on Facebook and thought we'd try it out. Service was fast and friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. They literally made our tortillas from scratch for our order. Our waitress was attentive and super helpful explaining any questions we had with a smile. We'll definitely be going back.
