When someone orders something on the side ITS FOR A REASON! It’s getting too expensive to eat out to not get what you ordered. Another $40 lunch I can’t eat.

The Algonquin Sub Shop is a gem in Algonquin. I have been coming here for years and I have never had a bad experience. If gourmet subs were a thing, it would be these artfully crafted subs. Love them!

Just overall Yummy! I do not think I have ever been disappointed with a sandwich from this wonderful place! Bread is always fresh, and the ingredients are fresh and plentiful. The large fries are a monster big size, so we share those (and usually still don't finish them). I get the Veggie Sandwich #6 and hubby loves the Chicken Diggs Sandwich!

Ordered 2 sandwiches and a hot dog kids meal 45 minutes before close. While waiting for my order, someone walked in back of the kitchen to show the workers pictures. During that time they did not get the hot dog meal I was handed 2 bags on pick up and went back to the car assuming it all was in there. When I got home at there was no hot dog meal which was for my daughter. I called right at close and someone answered. I informed them that there was no hot dog meal in the bag. They paused and then responded with “we are closed can you come back and get it tomorrow”. Not the correct thing to do there in my opinion. Disappointed.

Second time here was happy with the first visit so wanted to try it again and what a disappointing experience it was for a $12 sub lacking in flavor and in meat I ordered the Al Copone expecting a great sub and it was not what I got. Do Better!!

we had 3 italian beef and cheese sandwiches and french fries, and i'm not sure why but this time they were pretty dry and just had no flavor or spices, we were disappointed.
