“The Huntley Area Chamber hosted a VIP event at Village Vitner Winery & Brewery for their Presidents Club, Executive Club, and Board members. We enjoyed six food and drink tastings (choice of wine or beer) from six different countries while our tour guide shared information about ingredients and the country of origin. All was absolutely delicious! All of their staff did an amazing job taking care of our group of 34. FYI... They also make a great Old Fashion.

“What a great place with wonderful cocktails, a large and varied menu and a happy vibe. Christian, our server answered our many questions about the food and emboldened us to try selections we’d never had before! I loved the charbroiled skirt steak, ceviche, those pork appetizers I’ve never heard of, and my frozen strawberry margaritas. Others at the table had enchiladas, tamales, sangria and beer. Christian kept it all coming. He made sure to tell us about upcoming events such as taco Tuesdays and live music, including mariachi bands. Oh, sign me up! It also appeared to be family friendly. It’s a large space with plenty so we could have a conversation with our friends. The outdoor seating area looked nice, too, but we dined in the bar. A fantastic experience.”

“As long time patrons of Cucina Bella, we had high expectations for my daughter’s bridal shower, which were far surpassed. We had 56 guests; the restaurant was closed so we used the entire dining room and bar area. The exposed brick-walled room has such character and warmth; we added only a few table centerpieces and candles. The delicious food was served family style and each table had plenty (we took leftovers home)! It was high quality, very fresh, and all dishes were served at the correct temperatures.
Our menu included bruschetta, grilled calamari, house salad, penne marinara, gnocchi with vodka sauce, chicken Francese and tiramisu. This penne marinara is a flavorful departure from a typical mostaccioli dish. My daughter’s favorite is the gnocchi with vodka - the gnocchi were pillow soft and the sauce perfectly robust. The tasty chicken was tender and savory. Can’t tell you how many guests said they literally wanted to “drink all of the sauces”! They raved about the scrumptious food, mimosa bar, bloody Marys, ambience and service - and they are still talking about it!
Kim and Lindsey were amazing and did not miss a beat in providing top notch service for the large group. I have no idea how they did it all and did it so well - all in good cheer! Erin is a terrific event coordinator, very responsive, thorough and professional, offering suggestions and lots of patience! High praise to the kitchen staff as well. All helped to create a most memorable experience for us. Thank you!”

“Food and service was great!
We didn't like the fact that you can't dine in during the summer. We drove all the way out there (1 hour) to use a gift certificate, to find out there is only outside dining in the summer! It was hot, and if we are dropping $100.00+, I don't want to dine in the heat on patio furniture!!! We ended up going back home (1 hour), and returned in the fall for inside dining. You guys really need to rethink that ridiculous idea.”

“Tap House Grill Algonquin has a great assortment of craft beers on tap that rotate with the season. My favorite barkeeps are Josh and Kaitlen and GM Stephanie is often there helping the staff. Great place to catch a game, enjoy a drink and some bar food.”

“I just got Dave’s from the drive-thru. I can’t express how much I absolutely adored Morgan who was taking my order and was as sweet as can be! She’s such a hard worker for a young girl. I wish there were more people like her not only in the service industry, but also I wish there were more people like her in this world. Dave’s, if you have an employee of the month, a plaque of some kind, a raise, or a scholarship, Morgan deserves that and more! I work in the service industry myself and it’s not easy, you definitely come across people who are hard to get along with. Even though most of the time people are trying their best. If anyone ever has something negative to say about this store or Morgan, it will be the guests' who is in the wrong, not Morgan’s! “We typically use the drive thru. We like your food, always fresh and tasty. Tonight I had the chicken avocado and strawberry salad. The salad was fresh, walnuts were sweet and crispy, dressing was very creamy. The only criticism I have is my chicken avocado and strawberry salad had no avocados. I do understand sometimes you can run out of ingredients or supply chain issues can interfere with menus. I would just ask to have this made known to us upon ordering or upon discovery, all in the interest of good customer service that you usually do deliver.”

I called and said have you already made it? They said yes, why did i ask. So i explained what happened, but told them i wasn't upset as i like what i accidentally ordered! They said "ok". Everything is amazing . First off they are so excellent with the covid situation. We got the egg foo young there because because our no longer favorite restaurant was closed. Thank heavens they did. I have NEVER had such a light and delicious egg food young in my entire life. It's do good you're afraid to try anything else!Then I find out they have curry?? Holy crap. Fresh veggies and the mushrooms, the chicken incredibly moist and delicious. My son had the kimchi, husband the sweet and sour chicken. We got the dinner specials, which, of course was a huge amount of food...egg rolls perfect, egg drop soup amazing, the chicken fried rice so yummy ?. All of it under $30. Great food great service.”

“Four cars were in the drive-up, so we went inside to get the Halloween Munchkins Bucket on Sunday. Two people were in line. Only one young girl (Gracie) was working, but she was efficiently going back and forth between waiting on the drive-thru and the inside customers with a great attitude, no less. She apologized and said getting our bucket might take a few minutes because she was the only one working. We had no problem waiting and understood her situation. But we got the bucket quickly because she was very organized. She deserves a raise or bonus for doing that all on her own. Where was the manager? Poor girl should not have had to manage that all on her own.”

“This is by far the best Starbucks in the area bar none . Everyone from the top management to the baristas are kind, friendly, caring and efficient. I’ve never had an attitude from any of them no matter how complicated my beverage order is. They keep the place clean and safe also. Unfortunately, the Starbucks in Algonquin by the movie theater, and also the one on Randall by Kohl’s has some of the rudest employees. In fact, the one by Kohl’s mopped the floors without squeezing out the mop and there were large puddles of soapy water all over, and I almost fell, even though I was walking extremely slowly. Putting a sign down does not excuse them from liability, but they didn’t seem to care at all about me, or anyone for that matter , and when I expressed my concern that someone can fall, they just rolled their eyes up at me. I am grateful that the Starbucks closest to my home on Algonquin Road and Ryan is Friendly professional and efficient unlike the other ones.”
