Love the chicken fried rice and pad thai
We decided to eat here tonight so our kids could try. The food and presentation was good but the service was not worth the money we paid. They need better and nicer servers.
I love this spot. I usually get the Pad Se Ew (sp?) Crab lagoon, cucumber salad, ginger salad, miso soup and some sushi rolls. All good! It is my go to spot in the Algonquin area.
We stopped in on a whim. We were in the area shopping around dinner time and saw the sign from the street. Since we both love Thai food, we decided to give it a try and I'm so glad we did.
First of all, the interior is very nice and the restaurant is quite large. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night, but we were seated immediately and the staff was very gracious and helpful.
We started with sweet potato tempura and tom yum soup. The tenor was very good, but the sweet potato could've been a little softer. My husband ordered the tom yum, which is his favorite soup, and w thee both agreed it was one of the best we've ever had - such wonderful flavor.
For our main entrees, I ordered the drunken noodles and he ordered the Thai basil deluxe. Both dishes were delicious. When combined with the friendship and efficient service, this turned into a great overall experience. We'll definitely be back to try some of the Japanese side of the menu.
Highly recommended!
Great place ! Went onvr but can't wait to go back.
Good Thai food in this area .
Very authentic and delicious Thai food!!! First time eating Thai and don't need to look for another restaurant.
Excellent service and atmosphere. We had pad Thai and a special of the day which was a big bowl with crispy noodles and chicken and veggies and yummy gravy. Food was delicious.
I had the pleasure of meeting ones of the owners who is truly passionate and puts so much love in their food. Great experience!
Wanted some Thai food and decided to give Bangkok Thai a try. Unfortunately, their food was only mediocre and we both left disappointed.
Service was subpar. Our waitress did not smile much. We did not feel welcomed. The restaurant was spacious and clean.
We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. It was lightly battered and tasted great!
Chicken Pad Thai was a huge disappointment! All I taste was the cheap ketchup they used instead of tamarind. It was definitely NOT worth $15. It was disgusting. If I wanted to eat ketchup with noodles, I would’ve just made that at home. Avoid this dish!! Using ketchup as a cheaper substitute is horrible!
The drunken noodle had better flavor than my ketchup noodles but it was extremely spicy.
We won’t be returning when we are craving Thai food. They do have a large selection of cuisines on their menu that includes Japanese and Chinese as well.

Don’t take kids they aren’t welcome. No one came to take order so we left.
Love this place! Great Golden Shrimp!! Of course Boba tea, mmm!
I came in to pick up my order. There was a single family in there when I arrived. All 4 staff visibly looked at me and NO-ONE came to serve me at the counter (the bell even rings when someone enters).
Fast forward a few minutes more and I CALL the restaurant that I’m standing in on my phone. Only THEN does someone come to the desk to pick up the phone. Surprise! It’s the person standing here waiting to pick up my order. Glad the person on the phone was more important.
Not only that, there was NO apology and once I checked out they simply there my receipt, after which I simply stood and waited until it was picked up and given to me.
The absolute disrespect was off the charts and I will never come back again. I spent nearly $100 on a clearly slow night as well. Terrible on all counts.
Good food good service good atmosphere
For the cost, extremely small serving size. Ordered chicken egg rolls, received vegetable ones. I just can’t see the justification of cost to serving size or quality.
