Our server was either cooked out or tripping. Lol. Food took FOREVER and came out cold. After the food came we only saw our server when he brought the check. There was some dude out front with a keyboard delivering just the worst rap and r&b covers. Bill for2 was 136 bucks.

An amazing restaurant right in the middle of downtown Algonquin Illinois gorgeous area to begin with and this place is the crown of the city fantastic food. You can’t stop thinking of the fabulous flavors. You’ve just experienced once you finished smacking your lips!

If you come across this place and think “oh that looks neat, maybe I should go” DO IT. You will not regret it. The scallops were a religious experience and the sacchetti was INCREDIBLE. To top it off Dani took great care of us during our meal. 10/10 👌 we’ll be back!

We love American Fair. My husband and I have been coming here since we first started dating. Smaller more romantic setting, the food is top notch. Perfect place to visit if you are in the mood for steak. I’m a huge fan of their Chicken and Waffles please don’t take it off the menus anymore ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I gave it 5 stars in all categories in its market niche. We got there about 6:30 pm on a Saturday. We sat on the second floor balcony. My partner and I both had the burger - it was massive! And very good. We also had a couple local beers “Sip Sip”. Very nice lager. The server was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable.

We went for the Sunday all you can eat crab legs. It was not crowded due to the weather but on a nice day I'm sure you will need to get there early if you are hoping for outdoor seating. It's limited, as is the inside dining.
Verry nice menu selection offering items that you might not normally find. I enjoyed the delicious crab cakes and the stuffed squash blossoms.

I’m on a strict diet and only eat steak and eggs. They said the kitchen was too busy to do the eggs. Odd because eggs are likely the easiest thing to make. Bartender was kinda negative as soon as I mentioned my special request. People need to be more positive.
I went down the street to Cucina Bella and what a different vibe. The bartender here was positive and they were willing to take care of my request. This fine lady gets my $100 tip tonight.
