I didn’t have the chance to eat here, but my sister did, and she enjoyed it. But I was so impressed with was, her glasses fell out of her purse, and when we called the receptionist on a Friday night, went over and looked all over the location where she was seated for them. She found them and held onto them until we got there.
My first time there and last, My experience was not so good unfortunately we asked for the patio to seated it was a beautiful afternoon, it was Sunday from what I could see there were not many customers inside the restaurant, when the waitress came out she said sorry I forgot you were here, I realized because I went to the kitchen to get your order and there was nothing, then I realize I never come to get your order, I don't know if this was it as a joke or what . I ask for my hamburger well done , guess what I can still see pink meat , we ask for Margarita pizza and it was burned, ,we ask for soft drinks, they tasted like water. What else I can said right
I personally don't think they deserve a 3 fantastic food and good waiters everytime I've came so far maybe 1 time it took a long time but it was packed so I expected it .
Came to try this place out & ordered a couple of burgers & beer. The place was extremely direct, the tables weren’t clean & there was dust everywhere. The food itself almost tasted like a frozen impossible burger with some sauce on it. Overall it was extremely dirty & the food was a bit overpriced.
Our waitress wasn't knowledgeable about food, nor honest about my friends food that didn't taste as it should. My daughter's had not tasted well, waitress never came to ask how things tasted, we had to complain, then bringing us the bill without asking if we wanted dessert which we did but at this point declined it.
Vegetarian options: There are meatless dishes
Kid-friendliness: Large kids menu
They charge $7.50 for beer on tap! Ridiculous! Food was just okay. They have extremely limited vegetarian options. Tried to order a boca burger and after a bit was told they don't have anymore. They never removed it from our bill even though I ordered something else instead. They charged 18 bucks for boca burger and pepper jack cheese was a dollar extra.Totally overpriced and food is just meh. Tap House Grill is a better value and food tastes much better. For comparison, beer on tap right next door at On the Border is $5.50. Two bucks cheaper.
Been coming here for a months now. The food and staff is fine. It's Matt, the manager. Very unprofessional, rude and he's derogatory towards women. If you read past reviews, Matt is very disrespectful towards customers. He doesn't have to agree but he also doesn't have to be a j*** to customers.Very unprofessional and reflects baldy on the business. There's several other restaurants in the area, that you can have a better experience.
We’ve been many times to Bulldog Ale House in Algonquin! This time I felt they are going down.As you get there you have to wait at least 5-10 minutes as they are understaffed. The place was almost empty but still long wait. The food quality and service we received were definitely not up to par.Firstly, they burnt our friends' pizza which is unacceptable. The kitchen should be able to ensure that their pizzas are cooked perfectly every time. Secondly, it's very disappointing that they didn't have the necessary ingredients to make our Reuben sandwich, and even worse we accepted to be substituted it with turkey which didn't taste good.Furthermore, it's concerning that our kid got sick from the club sandwich we ordered to go. The kitchen should have been more careful with the preparation of the sandwich to avoid any potential foodborne illnesses.Lastly, it's unacceptable that the beer we were served was not on the day's special despite confirming it with the waitress. This is false advertising and poor service on their part.Overall, it seems like our experience at Bulldog Ale House in Algonquin was extremely disappointing. We wouldn't go back there again.
Ordered about 4 different beers before we found one they weren't out of. Appetizers were OK but nothing special. Street corn was boiled, not char cooked. Loaded Waffle fries were tough, not much seasoning or toppings.
$16 for this????!!!!! We have this beautiful, big burger and then this! Oh and if there is a chicken breast sitting on your EXPO line right now it's because you forgot it on my Cajun Chicken Pasta...

I really enjoy the food and beer here. My hubby services there heat and cooling thru the company he works for. His been wanting to bring me here. Finally we get out and I had there dirty blonde and my word is that got fantastic taste that hits your taste buds.
First time eating at Bulldog Ale House. We went during dinner with the entire family (2 adults and 3 kids). Seems like a nice place, but nothing really stood out. They do have a ton of televisions, which would be nice to watch a game. The food was decent, the service was good, and it seemed like a nice mix of diners. We may or may not return for a second round.
Pretty regular bar and burger type of place, drinks were nice and stiff well worth the money if you don't buy the cocktails. Ordered mozzarella sticks because that's just what you do when you go to a bar right ???? First set of mozzarella sticks were warm on the outside and cold on the inside, literally cold cheese so that's no good. Then they asked if we wanted new ones or just to get them reheated....!? So we got a new order and the inside cheese was warm but it wasn't melted at all it was just barely mailable, the sauce it came with was the worst part because it was like it was just the top water of the marinara sauce pot ! Absolutely terrible. Might be back for the drinks but the food is laughable and I'm not sure why there are so manny people eating it.
Wow, stopped there for dinner, absolutely NO ONE at the restaurant. Knew it should have been a red flag. Got seated by a hostess, table was incredibly sticky. Asked to get seated at another table. She stated that the finish of the table was flawed. Sat at the next table, just as disgusting as the first. Fix your tables or get better staff to clean them. OUT - NEVER GOING BACK.
Manager brought replacement pasta, he said " we don't sell FRESH pasta here" and gave same rubbery stale pasta to me. Nasty manager. Insulting. Poor quality, poor service by him. Waitress very good. He does not deserve her working there. Never saw such a horrible manager. Somebody, fire him.
